Christmas Fairy

You see, that magical gift
the shoppers sought for so long,
was not in the shopping
or scurrying along.
That magical gift
so desperately sought
was the spirit of Christmas -
which could never be bought.

(part of  "The Magic of Christmas" by Tom Krause)

I'm starting to get into the
Christmas spirit.
How about you?

  10. I loved the Christmas fairy and that wonderful poem. Oh and I'm a big kid around Christmas so the Christmas spirit actually hit me sometime in October. I know, that's pretty bad and I'm one of those people that also can't wait. We're putting the tree up Sunday... lol.

  12. Dearest Sheri,
Full Christmas spirit here! I love your fairy pondering the
Magic of Christmas and this photo is gloriously enchanting. We are all decorated here, inside and out as I wanted it all finished so we could enjoy the last weeks with Amanda before she and her family move.
I always enjoy the glow of Christmas lights and the traditional Christmas songs from long ago.
Have a good weekend, sweet friend.
    Love,
    Jemma

  18. GOOD EVENING my dear friend! How I miss you....I bet you are very busy with getting ready for Thanksgiving in your new home? Will you be hosting? I am so grateful for much, one thing being that in spite of two meetings this week, there is NO SCHOOL! I hope to rest.

Did you like that turkey on my header? teeeeeeee - you should see the posse of turkeys we have here. They are just like that fellow on my header and they roam the neighborhood and even stop traffic!

Many hugs to you dear, dear friend. Anita

  19. Hello my friend! Please do send me a photo or two of your lights at the house! I really would love to see them. Our weather has been off and on cloudy, so getting any good photos of corners of my home that I love is very hard. But right now,I am enjoying my simple Christmas décor. How I wish you could see it! OK, night night!!

  20. Hi Sheri,

Oh yes! I am definitely getting into the Christmas spirit. The boys and I have been playing Christmas music for weeks now. I love it! Hoping to make some Christmas stockings this week.

Thanks for coming by and for your sweet comments. I think I will get that photo of the boys framed. :)

    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Enjoy!!

  22. Not yet, I'm afraid.
Can't tell you why but it is very rare for me not to be on and over and within - if you know what I mean ;) - by this time of the year.
Best years have been like this - I leave decor and the organisation of details for later - an end up having so much fun in a relaxed and fully dedicated to what's important.
So I guess I'll follow through and see where it leads me.
Happy Thanksgiving, Dear Friend! So many Blessings to be thankful for and such a Huge Blessing you are for so many - including me.
    Blessed be,
    Teresa
