Costumes And More Costumes

Me and Jess and her brother all went to old town Sacramento and hung out for the day.  We always love to stop at the best costume shop in the area, Evangeline's.  The costumes are so unique and fabulous.  Here are a few of them.

The 20's flappers

Pirates

Love this section.

The mermaid section interested Jess, cause she wants to be a mermaid this year.

Renaissance

Egypt

Here's Jess looking at all the Greek outfits and accessories.

They even had some fairies.

I think this was my favorite one of all this year.

It's such a fun place to visit, and we always enjoy browsing through their many isles of interesting costumes.

Have a nice Sunday.

  14. This would have been so fun to see, the 1920s flapper costumes are particularly amazing and the mermaid is pretty cool.

  15. Hi Sheri!
I couldn't believe it when you said Evangeline's!!!!! I used to go there all the time with my friends during the early 80's. It was the ONLY cool place to go to get costumes and fun trinkets. Wow... you brought back so many fond memories of those old friends and the fun we used to have.
Hope you're having a great Monday.

  21. I loooooove Evangeline's Costume Mansion. My Aunt used to work at the regular store when I was younger and she always gave us quirky gifts from the shop.I'll have to plan a Downtown trip with the Hubby, the kids get lost in the costumes L.O.L. You were in my neck of the woods. Have a great week.

  22. Oh those are so beautiful and unique. We don't have anything like that around here. If we did the kids would go wild with Halloween coming and for any other occasion as well. Thank you for the sweet words on mine and I bet your Roses are are so beautiful. I hope they bloom a long time.. Love, Susie

  25. Hi Sheri,
Love this costume shop. I think all the costumes are fantastic. But I like the one from the 60's also...because it came from my teen era. In fact I still have some of my old short shorts from the 60's and 70's....LOL...of course I would not even be able to fit one leg inside them...LOL

  30. Sheri,

What a fun looking shop! I really like last photo...reminds me of my bohemian late 60's style! LOL We have already purchased Halloween candy (which I hope I don't end up eating BEFORE Halloween is over, we always buy what we like just in case there is any left over) LOL

I hope you have a great weekend. We are under a hurricane/tropical storm warning through Sunday and it looks like we might get a deluge of rain and high winds. :-( I hope that is all we get!!!
