Just Like The Rose

I took a walk to my neighbor's house, and admired her beautiful rose bushes on the side of her house.  It is landscaped with roses of every different color.

She even has purplish ones.

aaahhh, the red rose.  This one speaks to me like no other.

You are like the roses....growing free and unique and special in your own way.  Don't let anyone tell you different.

Are you enjoying the summer days?

  2. Beautiful, I can almost smell them Sheri! God's palette is marvelous, is it not?
Whilst I prefer poppies or bluebells, the tea rose in a shade of a blush hue is my preference! Then again, I well remember streets vendors of violets on performance nights...
Ah, flowers! Their unique language just speaks to us in so many ways...
Blessings to you and yours Sheri on this beautiful Sunday,

  4. What a gorgeous rose collection your neighbour has@ Those purplish ones are different. I'm loving this summer weather. It's quite unusual for it to last so long in the UK. However rain I believe is on it's way!

  7. I certainly am enjoying my days of summer sweet friend; today we went for a walk around the lake district, went to the ROSE GARDEN across the street and then to lunch. And the red, red rose has to be the loveliest of all, and I think of YOU when I see them. BIG HUGS TO YOU MY FRIEND! Anita

  25. Oh my, those roses are so lovely. Yes, been enjoying the summer, don't really want it to end, I know fall is also lovely but summer is so much more fun with the breezy nights, the ocean breeze, food on the grill and so on. But we must move on the holidays will soon be here. Have a wonderful evening, Hugs...Lu

  26. I love that last photo! It's so cute. The roses are really suffering around here because we have had so much rain. All of the rose bushes I've seen hardly have any roses let alone leaves. Roses and too much water just don't mix. LOL

Gorgeous roses...she certainly knows how to grow them. :-)

  28. Hi Sheri! It was wonderful to see your comment today welcoming me back to blogging! It's always a pleasure to see a sweet note from you! Yes, summer her in Michigan has been good. The weather is cooler than usual and haven't seen as many hummingbirds. Your neighbors roses are beautiful and of course the red roses! I could almost smell the sweet fragrance just thinking about red roses. Love the photos of the ladies on the beach! Where did you find that or did you create it? It's fabulous and very vintage looking.

  29. Sheri, Your roses are beautiful. There is just nothing quite as pretty or colorful as a rose--plus they have such a wonderful fragrance. Hope you are having a good summer. It looks like members of your family are doing some traveling. We went to Colorado twice--the second time we took our 4 year old grandson and had a terrific time. Take care, my friend. Mickie :)

  31. So many colors, all so pretty. I could never choose a favorite rose, although I loved yellow for the longest time. I am growing fonder of red these days because it reminds me of someone very special. :)
Thank you for sharing the pretties with us.
