Hot Summer Nights by the Grill

The temperature is heating up and summer is in full swing. It's the perfect time to fire up the grill!


While the meat is cooking, won't you join me for a glass of crisp white wine?


We'll watch the palm leaves rustle in the warm evening breeze,


and indulge our senses in the sweet smell of late-blooming jasmine. 


I'll mix up one of my favorite summer-time side dishes (I add red onion, olives, and paprika to my macaroni salad for a little kick!).


Add a couple of steamed artichokes from our local Farmer's Market...


...and we have the perfect meal for a hot summer night.

    That barbecue looks so yummy, Nel. I'm going to ask Dad to barbecue this weekend hehehe.

    The jasmine is so pretty, and the palm trees brought back some memories. I'll have a glass of that wine now.

    Our favorite on weekends... even some week days as it only gets dark around here at 9.

    I'm not a crazy Summer Lover but I sure love a barbecue. And even my daughter who is a seat-at-the-table phobic (and one phobia she seems determined to hold on to ahahahah) - I think she gets distracted - enjoys it.

    I guess all that you describe so wonderfully through your pictures appeals to the cavemen and women in us.

    Yum! I cant wait for summer to come. That artichoke blends well with BBQ and white wine. And mac cheese with paprika that something I need to try. Ahhh....summer days.

    Ooh Nel my mouth is watering reading this post! Totally delicious. My hubbie is veggie and I love a good steak lol. Whenever we eat out the waiters always place the veggie option in front of me and the roast dinners in front of him!

    Also like a cheeky pinot grigio. I've been a little addicted to watching Housewives of New York and it reminds me of Ramona :-) x
