White smoke emerges from the chimney at the Sistine Chapel, telling us a new Pope has been elected.
Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost of the United States is now the Spiritual leader of the Catholic Church. He is now known as Pope Leo X1V. The first ever American Pope in History.
In his first words in Italian, Pope Leo said to the crowd in St. Peter's Square: "Peace be with you all."
How wonderful Sheri, this is a great day!
