17-Mile Drive

Welcome to the famous 17-Mile Drive in Pacific Grove (Carmel).

I'm not a golfer, but I figured we had to stroll through while we were in the area.

There is a $10 fee to drive through, but after the drive, I thought it was worth it.

That golden California sunset, those wind-swept trees,

rocky ocean views, rolling green hills,

rugged Central Coast...

It was picturesque and peaceful.

  4. Can you believe the beauty in that? My goodness I am in awe - truly. Years ago - probably a couple decades ago I was privileged to be and drive that drive - it was free then, but if I could see it again I would pay $10! AWESOME.

  9. Good morning, Jess! Truly, Carmel is my favorite place in California, and we were there about four years ago to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. We had honeymooned in Carmel, and it was great to be back. LOVELY!

  25. I always enjoy seeing your beautiful family but this post has so much loveliness beside and so many things I like, from the wise words, the beautiful calendar and all the way to the geese. One of my favorite books growing up was about a little Swedish boy who flies away with the geese. Why not?

  26. The 17 mile drive is definitely worth it. It has been many, many years since I have been there. They didn't charge for the drive then. It is gorgeous for sure.
