Shower Planning

I'm having a fun time getting things ready for Jess' wedding shower that me and Nel are giving her in June.  We picked out and ordered the invitations last week, and I've been picking up a few goodies here and there when I see something that goes well with her theme.  She wanted a traveling hot air balloon theme.  Jess loves to travel, so we will be having three tables set up to display her favorite travel destinations.  Here's a small peek of what we have in mind.

    Sheri, What fun decorations. I love that idea. At my grandson's wedding reception...since Korey had a meteorology and global imagining systems degrees and Ashley had a fashion degree...the tables had big thread spools with a picture holding wire in the middle and the wires held little pieces of maps with the numbers of the table on them.     That's totally my thing, the great planner...to me planning is the best part of putting together a theme for a party, event. Shower, wedding, dinner party and on and on. Planning is so fun, then the production of pulling it all together see all the hard work in planning that special even come to life!

    Love the traveling theme, we have once a year a big Hot air balloon even here on out southern Ca desert it's so much fun being able to see these beautiful balloons up close.
    Looks like a wonderful party and memorable.

    I just hear the joy and anticipation in your writing! I love this theme and all of your thought out and careful planning will make for a stunning and beautiful shower. Yes, I totally agree with you-the planning for me, is actually more enjoyable than the event. I worry a tad when the actual event is taking place, when planning-I can always make it perfect in my mind:)
