The Tea Kettle Still Sings

I am a collector of tea cups and saucers, and when I come across a pretty or unique one, I can't resist.  When I was looking at this tea cup in the store, I noticed another lady admiring it also.  She put it in her cart along with about five other different ones.  She said she was buying them for a baby shower.  What a cute idea I thought.  So, after browsing through all the different tea cups, I ended up getting this.

oooo, brownies are done!

Would you like an
adventure now,
or shall we have our
tea first?
~Peter Pan

Remember the tea kettle-
it is always up to
its neck in hot water,
yet it still sings.

Oh, if you like
my tea cup, I found
it at Home Goods.  ;~)

  2. Sheri,
Such a pretty tea cup-I notice the red and roses:) I was just shopping for a special one yesterday and every store I browsed in seemed to have a shortage. I am glad you found one for yourself and oh those brownies look so moist and tasty!
Have a very happy Thursday dear friend,
    Love,

  3. Darling little finds like this make US sing like the tea kettle! And my friend, you would SWOON if you saw The Pink Rose here in Carmel. I have photos of it on my Instagram.

  4. Good morning JESS! Thank you for coming to visit my blog post and may the roses always bloom for you in your future! Yes, I was done with students on May 29, but we teachers had to have meetings until June 4. We are in Carmel right now, enjoying a most fabulous vacation, seeing the most glorious gardens!

YOU DID SURVIVE your first year! I'm going into my 13th, and may it be a great one.

    ENJOY YOUR DAY! Anita

  5. Oh I love it. And I find the story of the previous one - that caught your attention and chose to be part of a baby shower - too sweet for words. It's not people who are special. From time to time special things are destined to live adventurous and lovely lives ahahahah.

And you prove that second choice can be as good. It's sweet but here is too hot for tea.

Hope all is well with you and your, and my, loved ones.

    Take Care,

    Teresa

  11. Awh, I love that Peter Pan quote.
Your teacup is lovely, my friend. I've been collecting them again lately. I had so many of them years ago, but gave them all away. I drink tea occasionally, but here's a little secret, I prefer coffee in my teacup...and flowers. :)
The red color is YOU. Beautiful.

  13. Dainty, pretty tea cups beckon to relax and indulge in a cup of tea and then of course an adventure sounds delightful. Your tea cup find is pretty. Sipping tea in a beauty such as yours encourages one to slow down and just simply enjoy. Sometimes I place a tea light candle in the cup, light and enjoy the flame within,

  14. "Polly put the kettle on..."

Singing tea kettles. They aren't just for tea, you know. :-)

they are a sweet way, to make hot water, for a lowly cup of decaf. :-)

  27. I love your tea cup and saucer. Pretty color. I inherited a bunch of vintage teacups from my mother-in-law. She was a collector too. There is something charming about a tea kettle. Love the quote, "Remember the tea kettle-
it is always up to its neck in hot water, yet it still sings." So sweet.
