Mount Tallac

Husband and son climbed Mount Tallac last week above Lake Tahoe, and it was about a 9 hour hike.  It was very challenging, but they summited this beautiful mountain.

(mountain photos by husband)

Here's the progress
of my roses.
They're coming
along nicely.
I'm out there all
the time pruning, weeding,
and loving every
minute of it.

Have a peaceful
Sunday.

  9. Sheri, your photo's of Lake Tahoe are just beautiful! John and I stayed at Lake Tahoe for several days around this time last year. The views were breathtaking, but the LakeShore scenic drive, that you had to take to visit Lake Tahoe City, was somewhat scary, especially in some areas of the road where there wasn't enough room to add a guard rail. I can't imagine having to drive that everyday, but I guess you would get used to it over time.

  12. Oh Dear Sheri~
Every photo from the mountains to your flowers are stunning. Mother Nature paints our world so beautiful from the highest peaks to the valley.
I would have enjoyed the hiking myself. Last year we spent 2 weeks in Colorado and hiked nearly every day-breathtaking views and also so physical and really burned some calories!hehe!
Your roses are lovely, just as I knew they would be!

  18. Sheri,
Your husbands mountain top climb photo essay is majestic and powerful in natures beauty. I find his photos peacefully breathtaking. Father and son climb - precious memories made during that 8 hour climb.
Sheri your roses are beautiful. If this is a new growing venture for you be very proud! I wanted to plant container roses for this Summer but with all the laundry room renovations commanding my time that didn't happen. So until then I will enjoy the beauty of your roses.
    Thanks for the lovely share,
    xo,

I love these flowers and I am also very proud of them in my own garden. Excuse me for my long absence, but I was so busy with work and we are renovating our rooms so I didn't had the time to blog around.
Take care and have a nice week,

  33. Hello Sheri! I LOVE your new roses! Oh isnt there something so beautifully perfect when you look at new roses coming into bloom? the perfect petals, their smooth surface, the petals perfectly gathered together- wow God's beautiful creation. I am so sorry it has been so long since I spoke to you, I had a much needed rest from blogging not that it was hard work or anything but I think I just needed it. But now I've started a new blog (also keeping the new one just incase!)Ill send you the link but only if you have a chance to take a peak! I know life is busy at this time of year with summer hols starting soon! Im hoping to get back into it because I have missed it. I have been enjoying pink roses atm and my dad bought me some beautiful white (with a tint of pink) peonies. But I still prefer Roses I think! I hope you have had a lovely weekend my dear friend and I hope you are well? sending a hug.
