Wine Night

Me and husband went to wine night in my town this week.  The tables were set up in black table cloths with a centerpiece of wine corks and grapes.

We listened to some music.

After, we took a walk downtown, and stopped at my favorite eclectic shop.  One of the things I love about this shop is the big prayer tree as you walk in the door.   Anyone can put their thoughts or prayers on this tree.  I bought this beaded wire heart wall hanging.

We went over to get a bite to eat across the way, and shared a plate of seasoned duck fries, which are cooked in duck oil.  Sounds different, huh, but they were amazing, and very tasty.

Above us, I couldn't help but notice the unique light fixture.

These are the large brewing vats that are used for processing the ingredients to make the beer.

Wine night....I think we'll do it again sometime.

  1. Sheri, What a great time with your sweetheart. I think husbands and wives need date nights, every so often. Ted and I love our alone time....even at our age. He still opens doors for me, and will even order our food when I tell him what I am having....the funny part is , he will say, "Susie would like such and such"...like the waitress knows me. LOL Love that man. Hope you are having a great weekend. love you, Susie

Thank you so much for popping over to my blog and for your kind words. We returned from holiday and then for one reason or another it has been a busy few weeks but I hope to be publishing another post soon! I hope you and your family are all well.

  22. CHEERS! A VOTRE SANTÉ! Oh my friend, this sounds magical! I'll never forget a champagne tasting event one year when we were up in Northern California. My dear sister in law took us to the Korbel Champagne winery and did I ever love the pink stuff..trouble was that the pink stuff didn't arrive until after about 5 glasses of the regular kind. I was a bit dizzy!!!!!!

    Beautiful.

My husband and I were out antiquing yesterday by the St. Croix River. It was magic. On our way home, I saw my beloved horses and I took photos of them. Cute, HUGE and wild, they just looked at me and wondered, "What is this woman doing pointing that black box at us?"

    LOVE.

  23. "In vino veritas." What fun you had. I think those duck fries sound delicious. That elegant table was beautiful. The pretty heart is special, indeed. But I must admit that Light Fixture had me swooning. LOVE it. Hope you get to go to another Wine Night soon.

  24. Wine Night! What a delightful sounding place and time. :-)

Everything goes better, with wine. And I do miss mine. With this new life style I am into.

But I do 'cheat'... I have Harvey's Bristol Cream, on Sat. nights!!! -giggggles-

  25. Your whole night sounds like so much fun, Sheri. A little of this and a little of that, a great combination of sipping and shopping and oh, those duck fries look wonderful! I save the fat that rises to the top when I make chicken broth and use it to sauté home fries in but I bet the duck fat would give so much more flavor.

A night of memories and a pretty heart to bring the memories back every time you see it in your home! Very nice!

  26. Sheri,
Oh my! Wine, outdoor sitting, eclectic moments, music and a sweet husband to share the evening with-wonderful! I can almost feel the cool air, taste the sweet wine and feel the relaxing moments you shared. I have never tried fries prepared in duck oil, but I did have some marvelous fried pickles this weekend with a chocolate malt:)!!
    With love,
    Jemma
