Milagro

I went into a shop this week that sells eclectic stuff.  Now, don't ask me why, but whenever I walk into an eclectic shop, I am smiling the whole time.   I noticed a very unique item on the wall, and the sales lady told me it is called a Milagro.   The name Milagro is of Spanish origin and means miracle.  She said that it was a blessed gift of the heart and that you can put notes or prayers inside.  I've seen these Milagros before, but never one quite as pretty as this.

The heart opens, and I placed my note inside and closed it.

If you're wondering what the note says..........

Are you familiar with
the Milagro?

  2. I love vintage style mixed with glamour and old world charm. And those pieces enclose the concept.
I believe Milagros' origin is in Mexico and they believe it brings, to the person carrying them, protection and good luck.
Being you such a lovely person is easy to see why you chose a heart shaped one (they might have other shapes).
Above all meanings and suggestions is a delightful piece that will make you happy and smile whenever you see it. Best job in the world -a milagro- to make a lovely person like you smile and happy.
Lovely piece to hold thought, wishes and prayers of a very special soul.
Wishing you a lovely weekend (we'll have holiday tomorrow so it feels Friday today ahahahah),
    Teresa

But going back to a Milagro what
    a wonderful idea.
