I don't make new year's resolutions any more because, well there are many reasons why, so when I saw this quote on my friend, Teresa's blog, I had to share it with you.
Let our New Year's
resolution be this:
we will be there for one
another as fellow
members of humanity,
in the finest sense
of the word.
~Goran Persson
That was the nicest
thought I've
come across yet.
I hope the
new year is being
good to you.
~Sheri

ReplyDeleteDear Sheri

A very nice saying.
ReplyDeleteI too, stopped making new year's resolutions some years ago. I started to feel guilty, that i couldn't keep all of them.
So far, its been a good week Sheri.
The sun is shining.. its beautiful weather.
chilly though.val xxx
What a lovely saying and so nice to pass on, what a happy world it would be if we all read & that followed those words. Enjoy your days Sheri.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, what a lovely thought, my friend :)
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, sweet Sheri! Love and hugs!
A beautiful sentiment, indeed.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! That is a wonderful quote. Instead of a New Years resolution I am going to pick 'one word' to guide me through the year, although I haven't narrowed it down to just one yet. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is simply wonderful, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words.....love Ria...x!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely thought, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely thought, and I bet the lilac scented candle smells delightful.
ReplyDeleteI agree. That is such a sweet thought. Enjoy the rest of your week... :)
ReplyDeleteYep, I agree. And from that one thought, come many more habits of living. From love comes more love, more positive living. Oh Sheri, how I adore you! HAPPY DAY! Anita
ReplyDeleteSherri, what a lovely thought. I don't do resolutions - I do goals that I have set for myself.
ReplyDeleteWishing you, husband and the girls a wonderful new year, also your son.
I often think of you when I see my hummers eating out of their feeders. Love to sit at the dining room table and watch them.
Have a wonderful week.
Mary
An excellent resolution, Sheri, and one I will adopt for myself. Have a great year!! xox
ReplyDeleteA lovely quote for this new beginning, my friend. I don't believe in resolutions, but I strongly believe in vision, having a clear perspective of our goals and re-examining ourselves not only once a year but every day.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the journey, Shari dearest.
xoxo
Dearest Sheri,
ReplyDeleteHow good it was to see your comment yesterday... Thank you so much for your kind words.. I am so happy you enjoyed viewing them.
This was a real joy to work on.
It would be wonderful if one day we could meet in Temecula and have lunch... I am only about 15 minutes outside Temecula.
Have a wonderful day
Penny
I couldn't agree more with you, Sheri!
ReplyDeleteThis quote is really beautiful!
Let's hope that we will (try to) follow it!
Kisses from my -covered with snow after 7 years!- island!
Sheri,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in every way and if we would do this, each one of us, what a lovley world we would have.
I must say, that you live this philosophy, Sheri dear.
Love,
Jemma
That sums it up perfectly. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteDear Sheri,
ReplyDeleteI'd hoped to stop by yesterday but then Paris happened and for a while I couldn't remember I had promised to...
So sweet and wonderful that in the aftermath I read this again. So in need in the world.
I count myself blessed for having you beside me every day. Standing. Loving. Supporting.
You're a blessing to all that you touch, Dear Friend.
Love,
Teresa
PS - and what a charming candle. Perfectly chosen for the quote, if you ask me, one can really feel a warm and soothing embrace from it.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year my dear. Thank you for this poem, so touchy and so what we need right now. Praying earnestly for peace and goodwill to all mankind.
hugs,
Aida

I hope you had a wonderful holiday Sheri even while missing your father in law. I was away visiting family and am now getting back to blogging.
ReplyDeleteLilac is one of my favorite scents and where i live now, the only way to get the scent is through candles as lilacs don't do well here.
Hi Sheri...I liked this post. So far so good with the new year! Hope the same for you. Susan
