A New Year Thought

I don't make new year's resolutions any more because, well there are many reasons why, so when I saw this quote on my friend, Teresa's blog, I had to share it with you.

Let our New Year's
resolution be this:
we will be there for one
another as fellow
members of humanity,
in the finest sense
of the word.

~Goran Persson

That was the nicest
thought I've
come across yet.

I hope the
new year is being
good to you.

  10. Happy New Year! That is a wonderful quote. Instead of a New Years resolution I am going to pick 'one word' to guide me through the year, although I haven't narrowed it down to just one yet. :)

  16. Yep, I agree. And from that one thought, come many more habits of living. From love comes more love, more positive living. Oh Sheri, how I adore you! HAPPY DAY! Anita

  17. Sherri, what a lovely thought. I don't do resolutions - I do goals that I have set for myself.
Wishing you, husband and the girls a wonderful new year, also your son.
I often think of you when I see my hummers eating out of their feeders. Love to sit at the dining room table and watch them.
    Have a wonderful week.

  19. A lovely quote for this new beginning, my friend. I don't believe in resolutions, but I strongly believe in vision, having a clear perspective of our goals and re-examining ourselves not only once a year but every day.

    Enjoy the journey, Shari dearest.

  20. Dearest Sheri,
How good it was to see your comment yesterday... Thank you so much for your kind words.. I am so happy you enjoyed viewing them.
This was a real joy to work on.

It would be wonderful if one day we could meet in Temecula and have lunch... I am only about 15 minutes outside Temecula.
    Have a wonderful day

  22. Sheri,
Beautiful in every way and if we would do this, each one of us, what a lovley world we would have.

  24. Dear Sheri,
I'd hoped to stop by yesterday but then Paris happened and for a while I couldn't remember I had promised to...
So sweet and wonderful that in the aftermath I read this again. So in need in the world.
I count myself blessed for having you beside me every day. Standing. Loving. Supporting.
You're a blessing to all that you touch, Dear Friend.
    Love,
    Teresa

PS - and what a charming candle. Perfectly chosen for the quote, if you ask me, one can really feel a warm and soothing embrace from it.

  28. I hope you had a wonderful holiday Sheri even while missing your father in law. I was away visiting family and am now getting back to blogging.

Lilac is one of my favorite scents and where i live now, the only way to get the scent is through candles as lilacs don't do well here.
