Pumpkin Carving Contest 2014

Welcome to the 8th Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest!

You can view last year's contest here

The original pumpkin carvers gathered together to compete for the beloved Golden Pumpkin prize!

The winner gets to keep this dazzling prize until the next year's contest.

The judges, (Sheri/Mom and my dad) often look for creativity and uniqueness in a pumpkin. Additionally, no extra props or pumpkin carving kits may be used.

And the pumpkin competitors are:

Frankie

Home is Where the Seeds Are

and Pump-ku-tron the Destroyer.

After a long and suspenseful meeting, the judges announced the winner of the 8th Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest...

Home is Where the Seeds Are!!!

Wishing you a safe and happy Halloween!

  17. Oh sweet Sheri, good morning and happy NOVEMBER! Can you believe that we are this close to the end of 2014? I simply can't wrap my mind around this....I have so much to get my students through before the end of the school year, and I have to get my passport renewed for my trip to France in June!

Well my dear, Halloween is over. We don't get many kids in our neighborhood, yet last night when we were coming home from dinner, we did see a lovely crowd of kids and parents on the main st. visiting some FABULOUSLY decorated homes that were just perfectly welcoming for the little ones. I LOVE my city because people here really get creative and the houses that do welcome the tricksters are so lit up with wild and fun ornaments.

Thank you so much for coming to visit sweet sister. It is always a pleasure to see you! Have a fantastic weekend!

  21. You have some talented family members there Jess.
But for me they are all winners. I haven't carved a pumpkin before but I am sure it is hardwork.

    Enjoy

  22. Amazing! The pumpkin carving contests from last year and this year are just too wonderful to behold. All the pumpkins look gorgeous. It's really amazing how a little creativity and skills, plus a nice pumpkin create a true piece of seasonal art. Hahaha! Thank you for sharing! I hope next year's will be even more fun!
