What A Wonderful World

When my father passed away, our family, along with the support of many good people, set up a charitable fund in his name to provide clothes for low-income children in the school district.  This last weekend, I went to the fundraiser dinner that helps raise money for the shopping that happens twice a year for these deserving kids.  The night was fun, and it is our special community which makes it the wonderful event that it is.

This is my favorite song, and I chose this version because it is sung by children.

Let us all have the heart of a child.

  8. Even though you and I live on opposite coasts, we must be kindred spirits. My Father use to donate his gently used clothes to homeless shelters. I do that and it's been ten years since his passing. And another thing: That is my all time favorite song! I always thought Louis Armstrong sang it beautifully, however, these kids are the best. Their hearts and spirits shine straight through to their faces! A great post.

    Have a great day.

  14. Beautiful version of What a Wonderful World, my friend. I could linger here and listen to it all day. If only the world could sing those lyrics in one accord. I can see it though, through the eyes of a child.
