Happy Turkey Day!

We have a lot to be thankful for this year.

First and foremost, we thank God for our good health and safety.

We are also thankful that we will all be together for the holiday!

Nel is preparing most of the fixin's. Dad is performing the annual turkey dance. (This is where he wakes us up bright and early only to make the turkey talk and dance for us. It cracked us up when we were young, and we still make him do it every year!)

This Thursday, we will be stuffing our bellies full of Thanksgiving goodness and enjoying each other's company.

We hope you are close to your loved ones this holiday, whether it be in person or in your heart.

Finally, we must let you know that we are thankful for YOU!

Happy Turkey Day!

  13. Dear Sheri, Jess and Nel: My best wishes for a lovely Thanksgiving feast. I love the image of your Father making the turkey talk and dance. I am sure that has brought many years of laughter.
I hope for everyone that Thanksgiving is all about love of family, friends, and people we don't see anymore or have never met, like our soliders. God Bless.

  14. A lovely post, and great sentiments. I wish you all a great Thanksgiving and beautiful feast. We do not have Thanksgiving in Australia, and I would love to enjoy the occasion and go to America one year.
PS Your Dad sounds like lots of fun too!

  15. WAIT....ALMOND CHAMPAGNE? Explain, please! And the turkey dance...oh dear, I understand, I can see it now. Our men are little boys, teenage boys in "big men suits" that keep us laughing. I could cry just thinking about the wondrous years I have spent with my husband (now 32) and how much he has kept me laughing. I am so thankful for everything, for everyone who has ever come into my life, both fabulous friends and challenging individuals who have made me GROW.

Sheri dearest, you are one of the kindest friends I have, and I thank GOD for all of your kind words and expressions of friendship.

MUCH LOVE TO ALL and enjoy yet another memorable Thanksgiving! Anita
