A Very Nice Gathering
Jess and Nel went to a fundraiser to raise money for doggies that have been abused or neglected who need surgery. It was a fun event, and there was a photo booth there that you could dress up and take pictures. Here they are acting silly.
Is there a special
fundraiser that you
participate in?

They look great and I can tell they're having a lot of fun! I went to a fundraiser for my best friend who has lung cancer. I donated some jewelry for the raffle and the event was a big success.

Awwww....the girls look fantastic my friend! No, I have not been engaged in any fundraisers....just MY OWN! tehehehehehehhehehehehe
ReplyDeleteHow are you?
We have several regular occasion within our Parish... the requests for help increase by the day and we need to reach out for those who have a bit more.
ReplyDeleteThe initiatives vary during the year and I'm inspired by your photo boot. Sometimes it's auction like (you know someone offers a painting and then we have an auction), other times it's a music concert where the musician offers his gift and time and people pay for the ticket to attend, some it's a bake off from the Chruch Ladies... We rally in other people's generosities. And we pray it never stops. And that the new generation joins too so the spirit - of giving, helping, loving, nurturing, lives in them... really going for this photo boot initiative. They chose the masks well - these two know how to have fun and still look gorgeous in the deed.
Thank you for sharing and inspiring,
Teresa

ReplyDeleteSince I lived through my dad's battle with Alzheimer's disease and my mom's courageous commitment to him as wife and caregiver, I have volunteered with telephone support for caregivers and participated in fundraisers for the Alzheimer's Association. I hope to do so again soon.
Love ya!

Hi Sheri,
ReplyDeleteWhat darling girls you have! So much fun-just like their mom no doubt.
I do participate in a number of fundraisers. One of my favorites was heading up the decor committee for the Go Red for Women fundraiser a few years ago. We used hundreds of floating red roses and faux pearls. It was great fun!
Happy weekend Sheri!
