Through Childrens Eyes

From time to time, I am going to show you some of my favorite poems.  Here is one of them.

Through the eyes of children
The world seems bright and gay
The misgivings of our society
Seem to drift away

Through childrens eyes a man's not judged
By the color of his skin
But the way he acts and conducts himself
That makes him feel kin

A child sees the simple things
That we pass by each day
And views them with an awe
In a very special way

If we could only view the world
The way that children can
We could reach and touch the souls
of our fellow man

    Cute photo! And yes - children see us as we are. And they are the best judges of people. I absolutely love kids.

    Children are such innocent beings. I smile when I see them walking with their parents. They're usually running or skipping. I stop to wonder what the world would be like if we all skipped and smiles. :)

    Most adults could learn a few lessons looking through the eyes of children. There is no hate, racial divide, jealously, cruelty etc. These are all traits of the personality which are learned. They do not represent traits of the soul.

    Hi Sheri, Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece of poetry. So true, children don't see things through the eyes of judgment and conditioning the way people sometimes do as they get older. Did I see in one of your comments that one of your girls will be shopping for wedding dresses? That is exciting!
