Carmel

This is Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Many homes look like little European cottages.

The downtown village is full of charm.

There are restaurants, art galleries, bakeries, coffee shops, and high-end boutiques.

You can see the famous Pebble Beach in the far distance.

Isn't this the truth?

I've never been to California. What a beautiful town -- love the quaintness of it and yes, the homes are just my style. I'm thinking the weather is probably just my style too!

I love the quote about the ornament. We could also say that the ornament of a house are the people that live in it.

Jess, Carmel by the Sea looks like a darling place. I have a SIL in Brazil who always said that was a favorite place of hers and she would like to live there! Those houses are darling. Take care. Susan

Visited years ago. West Coast is beautiful. San Francisco and Sausalito our favorites.
Love how you switch attention to the quote drastically at the end. Yes, souls are a home's heartbeat, not necessarily in quantity but in quality.
Always lovely visiting. Tell you momma I miss her here terribly.
