Christmas Coffee

I met my best friend for coffee last week.  It was nice to see her this Christmas season.

I got her this cute snowman ornament, and the sign he's holding says, "but first, coffee!"

aahh, she knows me too well.
Her gift to me was a box of chocolates.
They are from Recchiuti Confections.  The heart one in the middle was a ginger blend.
It was pretty tasty.

Ever since I can remember, she has always had a talent with floral arrangements and home decorations.  Here is her Christmas tree,

and her fireplace mantel.  I've always liked red and silver at Christmas, but when I saw the red and gold, I thought it was so pretty.

She even made a little candy tree for her granddaughter, who is a year old.  Isn't it darling?  The elf shoes on top of the tree are from Pier 1 Imports.

Do you know someone who knows what you're thinking and can finish your sentence before you say it? - well, that's her.  She sent me these two pictures.  This is us back in the day (me, on the right).

Christmas coffee with a best friend...
that's one of the best gifts, don't ya think?

I learned many years ago that friends, esp those that are your best friends....are a treasure! I have one that has been a bestie since I was 10, I am 57 now. Another one, Julie from Julia's Bakery (posted on blog before) since I was in the 7th grade, Debbie for 37 yrs and T for only 10! I love these women so much. They are my past, my present and hopefully all to be in my future! Looks like you had a great time having coffee with your friend! So glad you were able to get together and do that.

Sheri, I imagine you being a faithful friend. I think your ornament is perfect. Love the gifts friends give each other. Closer than sisters at times. I lost my best friend 5 years ago. I miss her. I saw a sign once that read," Daughters when they are small and best when they are grown" and my daughters are most often my best friends. Blessings to you and your sweet friend. Love you, xoxo, Susie

Oh, I sure do think that, Sheri. So happy you had a lovely time with your friend. You two were adorable, and probably still are! I went out with a friend today, too. We had fun shopping and laughing....best Christmas gift ever is to be with a friend. Hope you have a super weekend, dear Sheri. Susan

Again, the best gifts are not bought in a store but are those crafted over time. I recently connected with my best high school friend, and I hope to see her one day again. Have another joyful day sweet Sheri!

Oh- One of the very best Christmas gifts of all!!! What a blessing to have a friend from your girlhood that still lives close enough to connect with her.

My best friend lives one state over about a 7 hour drive so I don't see her nearly as often as I would like. She and I can finish each other's sentences, too.

I love that little snowman. He is really, really cute. And that box of candy looks delicious!

Have a great weekend- xo Diana

Your gift for your friend is awsome! Gift exchange between best friends is always a moving gesture that strenghtens the friendship tie even more.
As for tree decorations, red and gold (not silver) go very well together.
