Update And A Thank You

Just wanted to give you an update on the tropical storm in Georgia.  I talked with Nel tonight, and she said the storm is starting to calm down this evening.  They had rain all day long and strong gusts of wind.  There's a lot of property damage and flooding throughout Georgia.  Over a million people are without power, and two deaths have been reported.  The storm had calmed down a lot before it reached the Atlanta area and her and husband are safe and sound.  Thank you all for your prayers.  We appreciate that so very much.

I'm so glad to hear they are safe Sheri! We had a lot of rain and wind etc, but I feel blessed to be safe and have a home. It really warmed my heart on all the sweet comments I received on my current post. It shows that there are still kind caring people in this world.

So glad that Nel is okay. These storms can get wicked for sure. I am right now laying here looking out the window watching the curtains on the deck just blowing all around. We are to have rain till Thursday from Irma.

Sheri, Such good news about Nel. IT's going to take a very long time for our country to get all the hurricane messes cleaned up. Some are still flooded, as were the people involved in Harvey's destruction. I feel the constant warnings helped safe lives. Blessings to all, love you, xoxo, Susie

I'm thankful Nel and her husband came through it okay. Mildred is okay also, in north GA, but they had strong wind and rain through the night.

Very grateful all is well! That was quite the storm. We are supposed to vacation on St. Simons Island, GA in 3 weeks. I don't know how that will be since they took on a LOT of water and have a lot of damage on the island. But I feel more for the residents -- we are vacationers and don't have to deal with the loss of our property!

What a whirlwind summer this has been! First Harvey then Irma, and we're not done yet!

So glad Nel is safe and sound.

So happy she is doing well and the storm is now past. So many people have suffered through these storms, it is quite sad.
