Thinking Of Her

It's been 20 years since Princess Diana left us, and I've been thinking about that and watching all the movies that are showing lately.  I put my music box out and listened to it the other day.  I would like to show it to you.

When you lift the lid and wind it up, it plays "Variations on the Theme from Canon in D."  It's such a pretty tune.

I had Nel and Jess around the same time she had William and Harry, so I always kept up with the happenings in her life and especially the fashion she wore.  This is one of my favorite pictures of her.  She looks at peace, which wasn't always the way it was in her life.

I dangled a crown charm around my blue velvet pumpkin to make it look like a royal pumpkin.  ; )

I've had this figurine for a very long time, and it has always reminded me of a princess.

Thinking of you, Diana, and love you.
This is for your "white memory garden."

What a nice tribute to Princess Diana! I was 11 years old when she died and I still remember watching the news late that night when they first reported her accident. It still seems surreal that happened 20 years ago.

The music box is lovely. I too have been watching the documentaries -- very sad. I think of what she would have been able to contribute had she lived. Glad you sons are carrying on her legacy.

So sad she left so soon. Sheri, we've been watching all the specials about her as well. She would be so proud how her sons have grown into such wonderful human beings. Your music box is lovely. ♥

I always thought she seemed like a real person...someone anyone could talk to. I just always felt she was a genuinely nice person.

Hello dear Sheri,
It seems like forever since I have blogged or posted. Let's just say August was a very challenging month. All good now.
This is such a beautiful tribute. She was such an amazing woman, in so many aspects of her life.

Thank you so much for visiting and your kind thoughts. He is not as large as the last few pieces I have made, but I figure he will sit about 9 inches tall.
I am trying to scale down my work, for what ever reason they kept getting bigger and bigger!
Wishing you a beautiful week.
blessings,
Penny

Lovely tribute to Princess Diana and thanks for sharing the lovely photos.
I too have been enjoying watching some of the documentaries. She was a beautiful woman and her boys seem to have the same lovely qualities she had.
Enjoy the week

I have a fairly significant Royal Family collection, including Diana -- that includes loads of books, clippings and magazines, china, a needlepoint sampler I did -- or almost did -- related to the wedding, bedroom slippers (don't ask), paper dolls and more. So this week I watched every telly special I could find -- the good (a couple), the bad (Reelz) and the ugly (also Reelz and some youtube. It's so very sad. Yesterday when I was cleaning a cabinet I found many VHSs of funeral, wedding, tv bios, you name it. I should dump those -- can't even play them anymore but I couldn't.

So, I really appreciate this beautiful tribute to a sad, lovely woman who made a lasting impact on the world and perhaps single handedly saved the Royal Family for future generations.

Good Afternoon Sheri, This was a lovely tribute to Princess Diana.
I remember when I heard on the radio that Princess Diana had been involved in a car accident how shocked I felt. Then when I heard the very sad news that she had died, I could not believe it.
When the news broke that Princess Diana had died, the country's outpouring of emotion was over whelming. Princess Diana did so much good and was such a people person, her smile was beautiful.
She will always be remembered.
Best Wishes
Daphne

A very sweet tribute to Princess Diana! She was such a gentle soul. Such a fairy tale, but so very tragic. Her son's would have made her so very proud, and now a third grandchild on the way......Love your pretty things xo Hugs

Good morning, Sheri! I'm really late here, since school has started and I need to rush out early in the morning. Yes, when I realized that it was 20 years ago that we moved to Minnesota, and that I can remember where I was when I heard the news about her death (in our new bedroom, unpacking), I was shocked. She was a beautiful woman who touched many lives.

Your mementos of her are beautiful.
