Memorable Road Trip

I went on a road trip this last weekend with my kids and son-in-law, and it was wonderful.  First stop was my nephew's wedding.  It was really nice, and the whole atmosphere had an eclectic vibe, from the table settings to the paintings on the wall.  I wanted to show you a few pictures of our trip.

This was the cutest bunny
on the table,
with its diamond necklace.
Lanterns on every table
Pretty chandeliers
Whimsical tea pot napkin holders
Cute hats and pretty earrings
Even the ceilings
were adorned with lights.
Dragonfly art work on the wall
And I thought this lamp
was so pretty
at the bride and groom's table.
After the wedding,
we drove to Shasta Lake.
There was a grand bridge
in the distance.
Unusual birds
Gnarled trees
Pretty wild flowers
Train tracks
right next to the lake.
Beautiful Views
On our way driving home.

I loved our road trip.
And I hope I don't wait
that long
to take another one.  ; )

I LOVED all the things you snapped...don't know what I liked best. That lamp on the bride and groom's table was a real beauty and I Loved that dragonfly art.

And that was a great snap of the Great Blue Heron in flight!

Your road trip looks like fun! I love the wedding pictures. It looks like they really took a lot of time to plan out all the decorations. My favorite picture is the last one at the railroad tracks. :) Have a great day!

What a charming wedding reception! Very whimsical accessories indeed! That bunny is so elegant, isn't he?

I do love weddings, haven't been to one in a while but there is a very important one coming up in September that I can't wait to go to--as mother of the groom!

Your description of the wedding as eclectic was spot on, but definitely in a good way! Love absolutely everything about it, from the debonair bunny to the lanterns on the table and everything in between.

All the pictures were captivating, but for me none as much as the young lady looking outward at the pretty view. Is that your daughter? Whoever it is, she has gorgeous hair!

We can always find beauty in everything. Our home we call Earth, contains many uninhabited lands despite mankind's way of changing the natural beauty the way it was intended. I am reminded of the hymn that goes like this: For the beauty of the earth, For the beauty of the skies, For the love which from our birth, Over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to thee we raise, This our grateful hymn of praise.
Enjoy the surround gifts we have been given.
