Today is Ash Wednesday, which is the start of the Lenten season that leads to Easter for Christians. Ashes are placed on the heads of Christians at church services on Ash Wednesday. The words that are traditionally used to accompany this gesture are, remember that you are dust, and todust you shall return. This is a little church that I used to go to when I was very young. It was a Catholic Church many years ago, but now they use it for wedding ceremonies.

The Pink Blossom trees grace all the streets in my town, and they are soooo pretty. It was hard to take a picture while driving, so I took one in the side view mirror of my car when I came to a stop.
This is a shadow of two street signs that came together to look like a cross. I thought it was perfect for today.
