'Tis the Season to Be Crafty

There's something about the holidays that brings out the creativity in a lot of us women. I like to get festive with new chalkboard art every week leading up to Christmas.

(designs inspired by Pinterest)

Holiday floral arrangements are also a lot of fun.

And, of course, what's a Christmas season without a little baking? Eggnog cookies are a personal favorite of mine.

How do you get crafty for Christmas?

Nel, great ideas. those cookies look very tempting, more so with good coffee. I know your mother loves good coffee too. You children are a credit to your sweet mother. Hope you and your hubby are loving life to the fullest. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Beautiful chalk work, Nel. I love to bake during the holidays and I used to make a lot of gifts. I do enjoy bringing in greenery and dressing our home with the sweet scent of evergreens. I love your arrangement. Eggnog cookies look divine and I'm sure taste delicious. Merry Christmas! ♥

Ooh fun! I tried your "Joy to the World" design. It doesn't look quite like my amazing "wedding calligrapher's" job, but it'll do. :-)

Indeed, holidays go well with creativity, especially where flowers and decorations are concerned.
The soft eggnog cookies seem to melt away in one's mouth. These cookies are now at the top of my 'must try' agenda.

Merry Christmas,
How fun that you mentioned creating holiday floral arrangements. I just did one today. A friend gifted me a bouquet of holiday flowers. I had so much fun playing. :-) Our weather is frightful outside -18 this morning, so what a treat to work with flowers.

I sure do get crafty! I've been trying to finish up a wreath but was unable to yesterday. I ran out of wire but dared NOT to go out to get more since it was only -27 yesterday! ENJOY!

I'm baking today -- again! Eggnog cookies sound good.

And yes, it's a crafty time of year -- and isn't that the best? Everything here is so pretty!

In my family we really just buy for the kids (little ones) like nieces and nephews. My own children and my mom. I try to be crafty in making something for my brothers and sis in laws, even though we don't give to each other. They are always doing for me so I like to do that for them.
