Turkeys Everywhere

I see wild turkeys
around here all the time.

White ones.
Are the light ones the
younger turkeys?

One after another
they walk the trails.

This one looks old.

A young curious one.

And just a pretty one.

I hope you have a very nice
Thanksgiving,
and eat lots of good food.

These are wonderful images of these beautiful (well, in the eye of the beholder) birds! We often see fields of them around here as well. Have you ever eaten a wild one? Mostly dark meat but was delicious! :)

Good Evening Sheri, I am always fascinated to see these birds in the wild, as here in England they are not a normal sight.
I have to tell you Sheri, I really don't like these birds, as when I was a little girl, living in Cyprus, one used to chase me down the road each time I passed by. It used to scare me.... and the sound they make. Can you tell they are not my favourite bird haha.
Have a lovely Thanksgiving.
Best Wishes as always.

Sheri, It seems that God wanted to make up to the turkey for being kind ugly , that He gave them a beautiful feathery outfit to wear. I often wonder where all those wild birds roost at night. The pie looks very good. Hope you are enjoying a good day there. You know today was pretty, sunny, blue skies...cold around 40 degrees. But I am loving it. Blessings to you, love, xoxo, Susie

Wow these pictures capture the detailing of the turkeys so well. I went away about a month ago for the weekend and there were heaps of turkeys there.

Hello dear Shari. Oh my! Is that your pie? It look scrumptuous. And those turkies! Wowsers. Sure hate to think of eating one of them (but they do taste SOOOOO good). May your Thanksgiving be blessed with abundance and love, Susan

Sheri, what a host of turkeys you have there! I've seen wild turkeys a couple of times, but they are frightened by people. Your's must be used to being around folks. I hope you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving and have a piece of that pie for me! ♥
PS I love your new header. Very nice.

Good evening Sheri,
First, I just love your new banner. It is so YOU.
Will you look at all the turkeys! That is really some sight for me. I do not see wild turkeys here. Wishing you and family a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I think your wild turkeys look very attractive Sheri, with their speckled fan tales. We have wild turkeys come into our garden, but they are all black with just a touch of red. In fact we have a turkey chick running around this week. Your pumpkin pie looks wonderful, and I'd love to have a piece of it. Happy Thanksgiving my friend. xx

When I lived in a suburb of Kansas City, I saw often turkeys. I like to hear their gobble gobble. And that's what I plan to do on Thursday LOL Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving week.

Beautiful photos, Sheri. Stopped by yesterday but had to run. Taking care of three goldens and a yorkie, my Thanksgiving guests this year. Looking like a table for two, missing our children but counting many blessings.
LOVE your new header...living with passion...yes.

Sheri! First of all, I don't like what Blogger has done; it has rearranged how I see new posts coming in. I'm missing many posts because of it!

Happy Thanksgiving my dear as you celebrate with your family.

Turkeys really are ugly aren't they lol. (But they make good eats). You've captured so many cool pics! We have wild turkeys all over the place here too, and they seem to be multiplying by the day. I guess no one told them it's turkey season ;).
