Oh, Those Country Roads

Thought I'd take a drive in the country today.  Going on long drives, away from the crowds, away from the chaos of the city is always a must for me.  To see the countryside for miles makes my heart sing.

As I was driving, this song came on the radio, and I've always liked it.  I was dancing to the music in my car as I enjoyed the fresh air and the friendliness of the people around me.

Open fields and country roads, yes, indeed.

This California girl loves the song of Alabama.  And it won't be long 'til I'm back driving these country roads again.  : )

A peaceful drive in the sunshine and fresh air is just the thing to brighten your day. Our family used to always for for a long Sunday afternoon drive when I was a child.

Sheri, I love going out into the country and breathing that fresh air! I love the photo of the cattails getting ready to burst. Music and country roads just go together. We are kindred spirits Sheri, I'm working on a similar post! Have a great week, my friend! ♥

I feel as if this is where we find ourselves, in the backroads, and not in the LIMELIGHT. In the quiet and wild, we see our origins and can listen to the heart. BEAUTIFUL places my dear friend.

I know what you mean . I love driving my car away from the city .
I used to live at the seaside with my family and since my parents and my two younger sisters passed away it is still a kind of HOME . I have ONE sister left , also younger and she still lives there . We are more a team now.
I had my birthday november 2 and you know what her present was for me ?
She rented a wonderful home for me and my family to spend some time next summer holiday in july . Overthere where she lives and where I used to live.
So I have something really wonderful to look forward to . We can have coffee together because she than is 5 minutes away ( by bike !)
happy november to you

Hi Sheri, Your pictures are so pretty and peaceful. I love driving the less traveled roads, too. I LOVE the video! I don't know if you have ever watched The Voice, but winner Craig Wayne Boyd won one season and sang this song with Lynyrd Skynyrd! It was fantastic!
