February, Just Because

I love white creatures
big and small.

I saw this one rose
growing at a
gas station, of all places.

If you have good thoughts,
they will shine out
of your face like sunbeams
and you will
always look lovely.
~Ronald Dahl

The sun always seems to
shine through in
California, even during the
winter months.

Jemma, you asked how
my rose bushes
are doing?
Waiting for spring.

I love to drink my tea
out of different cups each
day, depending on
my mood.  ; )

Valentine leaves in
my front yard.

The birds are starting
to come around
again.

Just bought this magazine.
Lots of great ideas.

Sometimes the best days
are ordinary days.

:-) Happy thoughts here. :-) You were rather blue, a bit ago, in a post. Happy to see the happy.

Different cups! Love that idea! Same cup here, every morning. So boring.

Love that white horse!

Gentle February hugs.....

Lovely post , love all your pictures. don't forget to prune your roses, and give them a good feed. The roots will be well established by now . Gardening by the moon advises to plant before the 15th February then all the new growth after winter hibernation will be to help the leaves on the plants to grow.
Happy weekend

Perfectly delightful post for a February day, dear Sheri.
Thank you for showing us your sleeping roses. I am looking forward to seeing Spring blooms and how nice of your friend Barbara to mention a feeding program and pruning too.
We are blessed to have friends who share tips with us.

White is such a marvelous color and even though some find it mundane I love it!
Wishing you a beautiful weekend dear one.
Love,
Jemma

I believe in that last sentence. I live for it.
Though there is nothing ordinary in you, Dear Friend. You're Exquisite and Passionate, about yourself, life and things.

My rose bush named after you is more "advanced" in leaves than yours. Full of sprouts and its fence went through a makeover the past weekend and I can't wait to have roses bloom to show it off for you ahahahahah

I envy your cup collection.

And I see roses near gas stations here too. I guess it only reinforces this quote:

"A rose is an argument. It proclaims the triumph of beauty over brutality, of gentleness over violence, of the ephemeral over the lasting, and of the universal over the particular. The same rose bursts into bloom on the North Cape and in the Sahara desert."

Alain Meilland

All my love,
Teresa

Valentine leaves for an observant eye. Sun shining, birds returning, pretty tea cups lined up waiting for sweet Sheri to choose. All good things to see on a very cold day here in TN.

The white dog looks almost like our Brown Eyes except being half great pyrenees and half bulldog his jaws are droopy--and I love to squeeze them!

Happy Valentine's Day, dear Sheri!

Yes. Ordinary is actually the best. In this day and age where to LIVE LARGE is the way to be loved (as suggested by the media), finding an ordinary moment is really what we need to be doing. Love that rose, love your thoughts, dearest Sheri. AND ME TOO. I love white creatures, ever since I was a child! XOXOXOX
