Light For The New Year

As I was playing around with this picture, I didn't really like any of the settings, so I deleted them and went on to the next.   The last time I deleted the setting, this showed up on my screen.  Don't know how it got there, but it was just what I was looking for.

Wishing you light and love
in the new year.

Dear Sheri,

Thanks for your visit today, relaxing day for us as we watched the Mummers parade today. John's into it more than me! Oh Sheri those King Crab legs were sweet and juicy, I heated/steamed them in beer with garlic. A huge pot, 3 loads of them .... What can I say they were on sale at Giant and there were hours of eating delight until our fingers looked so shriveled up you'd think they were swimming in water all day!

Today I'm roasting John a Pork boneless tenderloin - I'm having leftover homemade chicken soup I made. i only eat things that swim or fly but my Italian husband loves his pork on New Year's Day. Hope you are enjoying the first day of an unwritten New Year and I pray and wish for total inner peace to spread over this year and shine in mankinds heart with peaceful promising light.

Yup Max loved Tulips to eat ... Purple his favorite not sure if it was the taste or color that attracted him. He also never meet a Sunflower he didn't enjoy chomping away on either. For one post in my kitchen I purchased 13 gloriously beautiful Sunflowers, did I mention glorious? Well thankfully I had taken enough photos of them for my post before I went downstairs to empty the washer to load the dryer and put on another load. Well in that brief amount of time my Prince Max had jumped up on the countertop and had bitten off petals and they were all over him and the countertop like sunny confetti. All I could do was find humor in it as he looked at me with this expression of "sorry Mom, they sure are tasty"! Max will be missed, guess what Simon only smells them - no chomping! I will send you the link to that post of my sunflowers before Max had his way,

Yes Roses have always been my favorite flower, followed by Tulips then the humble daisy. I think it's my respect of Roses and their meaning as they truly are the most beautiful flower but yet bittersweet, beauty that can prick you, reminding life is oftentimes like that. They symbolize life to me and even in their end stage of being dried they offer beauty and awe.

Well Sheri I have certainly enjoyed getting to know you better over 2015 and look forward to your inspiring photography, friendship and all the beauty you share,
Love to you and your family,
Vera

I want to let you know what a special friend you are, and how your inspiration and kindness brightens not only my world but so many of your readers.
There is such comfort in knowing someone for a few years and I am blessed enough to say I have known you for a few now.
I am wishing you sunshine on your rose garden, gentle rains to make them grow and that you receive abundant kindness and love all the year long.
