Eeeeeek!

I was at the park yesterday enjoying my morning coffee, and I had just parked, when all of a sudden I heard a thump on the roof of my car.  I looked up, and high in the tree I saw this......eeeeeek!  He was looking directly at me, and he must have dropped a nut and it bounced on my car.  Now, you know I love taking pictures of squirrels, but I never told you that I'm a bit afraid of them.

A few other pictures
around my town.

Isn't this an unusual
light fixture?

I buy chocolate here
sometimes.

I often see faces
in nature.

My camera skipped
and accidentally took a
picture on its own,
and this is what showed up.
I think it's a gift when
we see a rainbow,
and this was just as nice.

Is there any furry
critters that scare you?

Hello Sheri.
I know I haven't been around recently, but I have been reading your posts even though I haven't always left a comment ( I know this is one of your pet hates ) This post really cheered me up, loved how you are scared of such a little creature the Squirrel and most of all such fantastic photos, loved everything. Thank you Sheri.

Hi Sheri, great photos around your town. The blue bird is just beautiful! And the sweet birds on the ledge is great! I love all critters, but I don't want to touch them! I understand about the squirrels, but it's been my experience that they are afraid of me! Have a great weekend! ♥

Great "around" photos!

Wow, the light fixture!

I don't want to get close to any wild furry creatures!!! ,-)

Especially the bear, which has been sighted on the outskirts of town. In the housing area, where one of our sons lives. Right across the street from them, in fact. Eeeeeek!

Bird feeders are attracting the bear.

My son's family does not have a bird feeder!

Great pictures! I have had so much fun the last month watching all the squirrels scurry around looking for nuts since my neighbor moved and took their 11 cats with them. It is especially fun to see the little babies running around chasing one another :o)
Have a great weekend!!!

Sheri, I loved all the photos. Your bluebird, the lamp, and all the pretty flowers. Some times out here, I have seen coyotes walking thru the field across from us. I am sure they are in the woods over the little ditch line. Well I know wild things are scared of us too...so when it's dark and I am going to the mailbox for the morning paper...I try to drag my feet so they hear me and I am not startling anything wild. LOL. Plus, if I hear a car on the road near by, I will stop...as they may run you over. LOL. It's a different world too, we have to use good common sense. Blessings, love you, Susie

Love the photos.
Spiders are my big scare. :-) My boys know it too, they like to tease and hide a black plastic spider in my knitting bag. :-))

Dearest Sheri,

Your photos are absolutely gorgeous! I love squirrels as well. The only reason we should fear them is if they have rabies, but we will know this by their erratic behaviour. This squirrel was (from what I can see), curious and alert, so no need to fear. Thank you so much for sharing, you have made my day. Thanks as well for your visit and kind comment on my blog post today, it is so much appreciated. :)

Sheri, thanks so much for letting me know why you are afraid of squirrels. I used to have a pet rat whom I called 'Mickey'...I purposely called him 'Mickey' because I wanted people to think of Mickey Mouse and associate him in this positive light. It worked and even people who were normally afraid of rats were able to hold him and see how sociable and sweet he was. :) Of all the rodents the hamsters are the most likely to bite. People think they are cute, which they are, but they have less of a tolerance for people and socializing. :)

A lovely selection of pictures Sheri. I love the blue bird, and the other birds perched up high. That is a great shot of the squirrel - I spent days chasing them with my camera in Canada, and could never catch them - too fast for the lens. I can't think of any furry creatures that bother me but I fear anything which has no legs! Happy Sunday xx

teeehee....those little MONSTERS! I could write a book (and maybe I should) about the exploits of our squirrels. Did I ever tell you the one about the day last summer that I was taking a photo of my neighbor's garden? I was snapping a lovely scene when suddenly, KERBLUNK....an ENTIRE LOAF of Italian bread came crashing down on my head! I looked up and there he was....squeaking at me, with just a small chunk in his paws as evidence that he was the perpetrator! Many other funny incidents have occurred like the time one came to our front step, ate a LOAD of black walnuts, left the heap of husks on my step, and laid there with his face entirely blackened. I almost called 911; he looked as if he was about to explode from having gorged himself with too many nuts! teeheheheh

Fall: such an enchanting and creepy time of year (CENTIPEDES are crawling into my home! EEEK!)

Oh Sheri...Gorgeous photos. Even the "accidental" rainbow one was a winner. Great job!

Squirrels, eh? I tell you, the little buggers turn my blood to ice. They eat ALL of my flower bulbs unless we haul out the chicken wire. They jump onto the roof and I live in perpetual fear that they will get into the attic. Yuckers. "Gray squirrel, gray squirrel, I hate your bushy tail......" hee hee

Hope your weekend is delightful. Susan

Good evening dear Sheri,
Oh what a sweet little squirrel... I will tell you a story.. When I was a child, we went to Crestline every summer... My grandma (Memo) always told me.... Penny! Don't grab a squirrel by the tail, he will wind up and bite you! I don't know if this is true, but it keep me at arms length...

I love the light fixture, it is so unusual..
Wishing you a joyful week ahead.
blessings,
Penny

I've never seen a squirrel so I'd be a bit afraid of having one staring at me...
Where I live there aren't any critters that scare me but dear daughter who has birds' related phobias is always screaming as if she's been attacked by a mutant giant eagle ahahahaha only for me to come running and see the poor turtle dove 30 yards away, never minding my daughter, but she still claims the little bird looks like a duck on steroids ahahahh
The light fixture is very At Noveau. Can't say I care too much for it but it's unique indeed.
You still have great weather. Autumn is definitely here. with all its meanness and beauty.
Love and wishes of a great week ahead,
Teresa

I don't like squirrels much either. I always feel like they're going to run up my leg. Thankfully our dogs keep guard at the window keeping them away.

I love your Autumn Nature pictures Sheri, so pretty . The squirrel is cute, I get them in my yard a lot, they like to eat the bird seed.

I see faces in nature too, and that tree trunk DEFINITELY has a face! Wow!

The light fixture is quite unique in an interesting, kinda cool way. I love things that are different from the everyday ho hum stuff, and that fits the bill.

Beautiful photos ~ the light fixture is so unique! The apts where I lived before were in a beautiful residential area with huge, beautiful trees. There were 2 outside my apt and I loved them! Lots of squirrels though and they were so bold! I've never felt comfortable around them and always afraid of them biting. It's ok if you laugh! :)
