A Taste Of Europe

Here's a little preview of the girls' trip when they traveled to Europe.  They went to three different places, which we'll show more of later.

In Barcelona there is a special fountain on the main street called Las Ramblas.  They say that if you drink from the fountain, you'll return to Barcelona one day, so of course, Nel had to do it.

Nice is very nice. The harbor, swanky shops, and all the people walking through the streets makes the city alive and bursting, especially at night.

The little town they went to in Switzerland was so unbelievably charming with its swiss-style chalets and cozy cabins and all its natural beauty.  The people are incredibly nice and down to earth too.

I do worry about them when they are a thousand miles away to a distant far away land, but I am delighted they get to explore many different places.  But I always ask myself, "where will they go next?"

Sheri, Growing up, I rarely left our yard...so I wanted to see everything when I grew up. I have been to many places. Europe is one I want to see...but as I age, I think this won't happen..So if my children travel and see things it tickles me. I want them to go everywhere they can. We worry even if they are in the next town. LOL. We are mommies.:):) Your daughter is so pretty. LIke her mommy, I think. xoxo, love, Susie

A lovely preview of the trip. We are so fortunate here in England to be able to go over to these places sometines just for the weekend. I haven't been to Barcelona for a good few years but would like to go back sometime. It's wonderful that your daughters enjoy travelling so much even though you worry when they are away! At least it's easy to stay in touch.

I really do understand your feelings! As a mother you are always worrying for your children, equal to which age they are. My eldest daughter, she is 24, has flown to Australia last Friday. She will stay there for half a year and I always hope that she is fine! I am proud that the children are so curious and explore the world, but when they come back, I am the happiest mom :).
Concerning your photos, I have also been to Nice when younger, it's indeed very nice. Barcelona is on my Travellist :), it's said to be wonderful and Switzerland is charming, the people, the mountains and the food! I hope your daughter enjoys her journey!
Have a nice day,
Barbara

PS: I saw my name on your friend list and I hoped that I was ment to be this one :). Thank you for your friendship!

Sheri,
I know exactly how you feel as a Mom, and no matter how "grown up," they are they are still our children and we will always worry. It looks as though the girls had a wonderful experience and interesting travels, looking forward to more photos and news.

I have travelled in whole Europe but never out of it! I think it's a multifaceted continent with culture, history and solid traditions. It's a bit old fashioned but I love it. Of course America remains a dreamy country in my mind but so huge... Anyway, I'm here to thank you girls for all your wonderful comments on my blog. It's always such a pleasure to read them. I'm taking a little break from blog land, see you at the end of summer.
Wishing you happy, sunny days ahead,
Hugs

It looks like a wonderful adventure. That Swiss town is right up my alley. I know as a mom you worry but it must be so exciting to share this with them both, even from a distance. LOVE that last photo. Warmed the cockles of my heart.

I've seen your daughter and another picture, but again I want to say how nice! Each country has its charm. Italy- has a great kitchen, exclusive, ancient buildings, sculptures amazing artwork .... Switzerland, especially in the mountain villages is so fresh, green, flower ... exciting journey, then you will have so much to tell you .. ..
