Walk With Me

There is a trail that me and husband walked on last weekend, and it's so green and lush and peaceful.  We saw many interesting sights along the way.

All of a sudden, we heard a knocking on one of the trees.  We looked over and to our surprise, we saw this.

I've never seen the woodpecker in action and it was so funny to watch him.

Some pretty purple flowers on the side of the trail.

The dove is a precious bird.

These trees are amazing.  Some of them are 300 years old.

This hare was trying to hide from me.

And at the end of the trail, I spotted these.  I think they were just for me.  : )

What a nice walk, Sheri! Beautiful photos. Every morning when I take the dogs outdoors, I hear the rat-a-tat-tat of a woodpecker on our huge old poplar tree. I love the sound!

Amazing photo's, you really captured the beauty. What a nice place to walk to.
Enjoy your week. Thought about you yesterday as my hummers (12) were getting their dinner before going to bed for the night. They were beautiful.
Have a blessed day.

What a lovely walk along the trail - I enjoyed it too. That woodpecker must have made 'a merry noise'.

Just love the quote you used too, very apt.

Good Monday Morning Dear Sheri,
Such a lovely walk and what treasures of nature you shared with us too. I am very partial to bunnies, they are so whimsical, fragile and playful. I just got back from a lovely walk myself and enjoyed the sights and sounds of nature.
Love,
Jemma

Hi Sheri, What a lovely walk on your trail. You captured such great pics and I know how amazing it is to spot a woodpecker. We had one in our front yard tree and they can be rather loud but so wonderful to see.

Love the hare shot and those roses were meant for you I'm sure of it.
So nice to take a walk with you.

Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week. Love your new home below too. It is so charming and I know you are enjoying decorating.
Love your new header too.
Thank you for always stopping by and your sweet visits
Sending big hugs your way my friend.

Weren't you fortunate to spot and capture so many beautiful critters with your camera! I do love the doves too, love hearing their calls.

Your place to walk is special and I love your quote by an unknown author.

What a lovely nature walk, Sheri. The woodpecker in action was a great thing to see - I have never seen it! Love his red head, too. The hare is another beautiful animal, and well-spotted. We have them here but they only come out at night and are rarely seen. Red roses, yes, just for you :) xx

teeheee......that woodpecker, I tell ya, THEY ARE LOUD! We have them in our neighborhood, just like this guy. But then one day as we were out on the other side of town, we heard a HUGE KNOCK and to our surprise, we saw another one but with a different head...the exact look of Woody the Woodpecker, with the wild red hair that sticks up!

Nature is indeed a tonic, an elixir for a youthful spirit, and like food to me. I need nature in my life in some form to keep SANE! Last evening as I was preparing dinner, I looked out into our garden at a pot with just dirt (ready for flowers), and what do I see pop out of it? A squirrel. This guy was taking a DIRT BATH! He kept rolling around in the dirt - then he'd stamp in the dirt. He looked as if he was in a vat of grapes, stomping on them to make wine!

Those lovely roses at the end of your path my dear are just for you. And me.

BIG LOVE!

I enjoyed going on your walk with you, Sheri! Such lovely sights. That hare has eyebrows! And he looks quite intelligent. How lovely to end your walk with roses. The woodpecker is so handsome. I love woodpeckers except when they're pecking on our downspouts! lol

Have a lovely evening, my dear!

That last quote is so true. This is Nature at its wildest but natural way. And so comforting knowing that it strives, lives and enjoys...
I've never seen a woodpecker so I can imagine your surprise and delight. What wonderful place you live in.
Enjoy,
Teresa
