Just An Ordinary Day

I got up early this morning around 6:00, and drove to Starbucks to get my favorite coffee.  The girl at the drive-thru was pleasant, and her arm was covered with tattoos with red roses and a cross.  Now, I'm not a big fan of tattoos, but you know how surprised I was to see the red roses, and the cross made it look so beautiful.  I saw the sunrise, and enjoyed my coffee thinking to myself that life is good.

Speaking of roses..... husband planted roses last Sunday in my garden - pink, yellow, white, and red.  I wanted him to plant them because every time he plants something, it turns out well.   His dad had a garden when he was young, so he learned a lot from him.  I will be putting in some white flowers soon as ground cover, and I'll show you later.

Have a sweet day.

Lovely colors of your roses and even a rose and cross tattoo for you to see that morning at the coffee shop.

Your Rose garden is going to be lovely. How wonderful to be able to buy your rose bush's in flower. Then you can see the true colour. I adore the pink one, ( did it have the name on the label ) My climbing roses are still waiting to be planted. We have had some awful weather, cold at night with strong cold winds and rain during the night. So I am hardening them off under cover. No need to ask which is your MOST favourite one.
I want some of your glorious sunshine.
I hope the early drive for your coffee was worth it :)

So glad that you got your roses Sheri. They are very pretty and your going to love them. I try to bring in a bunch and make bouquets for most of the rooms. Mine are going crazy with this hot weather we have been having. They said that it is going to get hot again this Thursday.
Have a wonderful and I thought about you today as I was watching my hummers drinking their sugar water. I know how much you love them.
Have a wonderful Easter.

Ooooh.....this is spectacular my friend. HEY? I am on break. Can we chat?

Today, I was thinking the same thing as you did. I was out for a walk early in the morning because our weather has sweetened. I prayed and thanked GOD for such a wonderful, simple life. Maybe we were thinking this at the same time....I've been having such a charming day at home, where the sunshine is streaming in and I am remembering my childhood with my mother as we strolled the streets on so many sunny days.

Your roses are just spectacular my friend. We are hoping to plant a Ramblin' Red climber this spring! I will send you a picture of one in our neighborhood.

Yes, I have had a sweet day. ♥

An ordinary day is the very best of days, Sheri. I'll take as many days like yours as I can get.

White flower ground cover under roses sounds enchanting.

I too used to look askance at tattoos--until my son got his first one!

Hi Sheri,

I have been away from blogging for a while, but am back and hope to post more again. It's so good to come back to your blog and "see" you.

I am not a big fan of tattoos either but it sounds interesting...next time you should take a photo...if she'll let you. haha...I'd love to see it. :)

Those roses are gorgeous. It seems early in the season for them. But you live in a warmer climate than me. We have had unseasonably nice weather this winter and so far spring.

Hope all is well and have a blessed Holy Week!

Love,
Heidi

Surrounding yourself of Beauty and Happy Thoughts... GO Sheri!
So exciting to plant your own roses. I like roses. Even when they're old they look awesome.
That tattoo - cross and roses - is one of the most popular worldwide. The red rose means true love so a very passionate person that girl must be. I like tattoos. Of course I don't like those people who don't have an inch of skin without tattoo. But a tasteful tattoo here and there?! it intrigues and makes you wonder about the person using it. And if it is beautiful and the person seems comfortable with it for me it looks like any other jewel the person chose to decorate with.
Would I have one? No. Mainly because I'm too inconstant and one day I'd like and by the afternoon would probably hate it so...
But then I descend from African people and there are tribes that have ritual tattoos so I wonder if this fascination of mine is genetically suggested.
My son never wanted one. He wanted a piercing and he had it when he entered University. The he got bothered took it off and never used it again. Dear daughter sometimes talks about tattoos but she's still young and I try not to pass my opinions to her... don't want her regretting a tattoo I suggested you know?!
Enjoy Easter Dear Friend!
Yours,
Teresa

Sheri,
I love roses too-my sweet Momma had a beautiful rose garden - 12 red Hybrid Tea roses from Jackson and Perkins. She tended to them daily and they bloomed gorgeously all Summer long. Your roses are lovely and I am happy to know that you are able to spend precious time in your garden. I know the joy and contentment it truly brings.
Love,
Jemma

Your roses look lovely, have fun with planting the rest of your garden. I can't wait to start planting in mine. Still a little too cold in my neck of the woods. :)

My daughter works at Starbucks and they just started letting people that work there show their tattoos. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but it sounds like the roses and cross were pretty together :)

Your roses are gorgeous!
