The Light

The other night I was watching a scary movie (you know, the kind where someone breaks into the house, and you're on the edge of your seat and a pop-out comes on the screen).  I called out to my son and said, "lock the door and put the porch light on before you leave."  He smiled at me and said, "you don't need the porch light on, you have the light of the Lord watching over you."

Oh, how I love
that boy.

Sheri,
This is your boy and he was such a darling toddler! Aren't boy's something else, with their no-nonsense, supportive, steady approach to life. What a joy for you that you have raised your family in the love of the Lord, and they truly know His ways.
This is a very special post, Sheri~
Love,
Jemma

Handsome,
STILL... Do what Mother tells you and let the light on!... so it brings you back to her, and home, every time.

What a lovely little boy. He looks like you Dear Friend.

Bright Blessings upon you both, Sheri. May the Light within you guides him through a life of value and welcomes him every time into your Home.

You, both, don't know how lucky and blessed you both are for having each other - even for nagging ahahahahah

And stop watching those movies - and telling me about it; scares the L out of me ;) ahahahahah.
In a way by saying this he's casting a blessing upon you before leaving. How dear is that?! So no wonder your Love for him is as big and endearing as it was in that first minute of life.

Love,
Teresa

Hello Sheri
What a heart rendering thing for your son to say to you before he left. I assume the photo was taken when he was a boy, you must be very proud of him. The photo of the sky is wonderful It looks like sky painting, I am just like you when watching a scary film, I ask my Mr France is the door locked ? He just laughs at me.
Hope you've had a lovely week.

And just see him looking up in the picture, something he's continued doing even now--what a lesson in your story, and in the beautiful picture of the sky.

My heart's pounding just thinking about your movie. And I hate dreams where someone is trying to break into the house, cannot let myself go back to sleep after one of those.

Very beautiful picture, Sherry! And very cute little boy! In our country there is the saying: Help yourself to help you God.
It's nice to believe in the good forces of the Lord, but it is also nice person to be careful and keep yourself :))

Hi Sheri! This sweet post certainly brought a smile to my face. Your son was such a cute little guy and I see you've raised him right. I just love it!

You know, I'm the same way when I watch scary movies. That's why I avoid them at all times... :)

Have a wonderful weekend... :)

Hi Sheri,

Such a beautiful post and what a darling sweet son you have, as a toddler and now.
Many thanks for your kind visit to my blog and the comment you left. As for the James Bond, my favorite has always been Sean Connery.
Hope you have a happy weekend
Hugs

Hi Sheri,
Thank you so much for visiting Peanut.. His second coat... I do apply a second coat to most of my critters, then scissor cut. I guess the reason this looks different is because I made it a bit sparse, and longer in length.
If you look on my sidebar, the bears and raccoon there all have a second coat.. I just needle felted it in much closer and thicker. Then scissor cut. So it would be difficult to tell.

Did any rain come your way yesterday? It rained here. We could have use much more. Sun is peeking out this morning.
Have a great day... Thanks again for your sweet words.
blessings,
Penny

A very wise boy.
Oh how we love our boys. I love my girl too, but you know I've always told you that there is something so special about the bond between a mother and son.
Love this, Sheri.
