Red is Love

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is right around the corner.

This year, I had the pleasure of teaching my young students about this incredible man.

He spread love to the world, and since red is the color of love,

I'm sending you a few red photos in honor of love.

"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear."
~MLK, Jr.

Great post. Martin Luther King was a remarkable man; what might he have achieved if he hadn't been murdered?

This is a wonderful post Jessie. I wish we all thought as MLK did. We need someone to lead with the same demeanor. Bless you young lady. xoxo,Susie

Amen. And the people whose exemplary lives prove this are the people to watch and emulate. I am so thrilled that you are teaching; if I have to work, then let it be teaching because it is a LIVING job, full of planning, changing, arranging, learning for everybody. Happy Sunday, ladies! Anita

"Hate is, indeed too great a burden to bear." Lovely sentiment.

I have so much respect for that man and what he did still lives on and has affected so many people positively. And he did all of that because of love... love truly is a great thing.
And your red pieces are lovely, I love that heart shaped candles and the tufted chair and roses, they all scream love charmingly.

Have a wonderful day.

This was such a beautiful post. I've always admired Martin Luther King. He was a heroic leader in the African American civil rights movement and I can't wait to see the movie, Selma this weekend.

I also loved those pretty heart shaped candles and those beautiful roses... :)
