Sweet Weekday Morning

During the summer months, I have the pleasure of working from home one day a week, which I absolutely love!

I make sure to indulge a little on these weekday mornings with a cup of steaming coffee out of my favorite over-sized mug...

a sweet treat like this jam-filled crepe...

and my favorite section of the paper.

Good days tend to begin with slow and peaceful mornings, don't you think? Wishing you a bright and cheery start to your day!

Amazing way to indulge in yourself indeed.

I don't have frequent days off - for me it would be a day off - but when I do I give myself the 4 stars' treatment too ahahah

I seem to have so few opportunities to do so. Always taking care of this and that or those that it's good when we take care of our best friend.

Sometimes I wake up really early and do this too. Before the home, family and even Life swallows me, I open the kitchen door to listen to the birds, to enjoy the morning chill and I indulge in something that I'm sure the happy that will result from it will eat up ahahah

Go Nel!

Nel, Good for you...we should always treat ourselves special...even if it's a small thing as breakfast with good coffee. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

It would be lovely to have that crepe every morning! Very tempting and such a perfect beginning to your day. I'll have to settle for my grapefruit and news via my computer. Isn't it appalling? I don't even take a newspaper anymore!
Have a lovely week!

I love early mornings in the garden with a good cup of Starbucks. When I worked it was non stop until I got to work. Then more non stop working. Now that I am retired I ease into the day - sometimes I don't get my shower until 11:oo a.m.
Retirement does have it's rewards.
Crepes look so yummy.
Have a great week.

It's nice to be retired and have a nice start to each morning. I like to check my favorite blogs and emails while I sip a cup of coffee. Enjoy your week! Hugs!

So good to hear from you! Tea is exactly what I ate with the pie!

Your morning looks so relaxing. I love waking up to coffee and a yummy treat! I love that you read a newspaper as well. I've been finding that I've missed reading the news in that format.

Take care,
Sarah

Thank you for your sweet words. I hope to be able to model all of my clothes in mid august - should be feeling a bunch better by then. Meanwhile non-picture or someone else in the photo pics are the norm for the next month or so. Thanks for your heartfelt comments.

My mouth is watering Sheri. I have just tried working from home and whilst I am not sure I loved it entirely it does have some benefits. Staying in your pyjamas in winter till lunch time whilst working was one. Happy days . Shell - A Darlings Nest.
