Sometimes Imperfect Is Beautiful

Me and husband took a drive out in the country,

and stopped at a place that makes the best tacos.  After lunch, we drove through the town and checked out the sights.

This reminded me of Nel and Jess.

We went to the farmer's market in the town square and bought some home-grown tomatoes from a local farmer.

Later, we stopped for a cupcake at this charming pink sweet shop.

On the way home, we saw a field of sunflowers.  It was so hot out, that the  petals on the sunflowers were drooping in the scorching heat.  Still, I thought they were so pretty.

odd and imperfect -
they are much
more interesting."

I can't tell you how much
I appreciate our rides
in the country.

The more imperfect, the more I see beauty, for there you will always find the fingerprints of Grace. I have a difficult time seeing Grace in perfection, for what does it rely on if not man's sufficiency and pride...to which there is no beauty.

Lovely post and lovely day you seemed to enjoy, dear friend. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Sheri, I always like seeing your pictures. Aren't those horses pretty? The pink place was cute too. I like the mermaids...were they painted on glass? Blessings for a great day, xoxo,Susie

I'll take things any way I see and can ahahah
It's not that I loooove odd and imperfect. Being odd and imperfect doesn't make them lovable just because of that, if you know what I mean. The same with perfect and beautiful.
We have those yellow flowers in here too. They're smelly. And we have the same in orange. I even babied the idea of having them in the garden but then I decided for a pink and red palette... maybe some other time, some other place ahahahah
And the other day, when leaving the train station, I saw a single sunflower in a garden. I didn't take a pic because I couldn't check if it was real as there are none around or close by; just grass and then tall it stand. Need to see if it's there today when I return - dear husband loves them. I think they're a bit messy. I'm more for groups of flowers, bushes etc (I wonder what that says about me ahahah)
Thank you for sharing your lovely day with us.

Hi Sheri,
So nice to visit once again!
What a beautiful post! So true...beauty is often in what we deem less than perfect.
Those sunflowers...so nice with their drooping heads.
Here in Ontario it is cooler than normal summer and wet.
Enjoy yours, Lucy~

Oh dear friend, TAKE ME WITH YOU? If there are horses there, then take me now?

I hear you all are having the worse heat...would you believe I had to wear a wool pullover this morning on my walk? It even rained a little a while ago. Those sunflowers are beautiful, even as they droop because they are living things. Oh my friend, hugs to you! Anita

How nice to see the sight of flowers in places I haven't been to! The Marigold comes in orange in Nepal, and I love them.

Sounds like a beautiful day! Imperfection is beautiful - a crooked smile, tarnished silver, worn antiques, tilting barns....all things imperfect but so beautiful. Love your imperfect sunflowers - I would love to have seen a whole field of them! Lovely. xo
