Wacky Tea Cup

I know,
I know,
I have a thing for
tea cups.
But when I saw
this one,
I couldn't help
myself.

Me, Jess, and Nel
have delighted in the
Dr. Seuss quotes
our whole life.

His whimsical and
quirky phrases
have humored us
many a day.

Here's a picture of
Nel and Jess
playing along when
they were kids.

"So the writer who breeds
more words than he needs,
is making a chore
for the reader who reads."

Do you have a
favorite Dr. Seuss
quote?

oH HOW i LOVE teacups and mugs
I have quite the collection
but for now they are all boxed up.
We just moved to my hubby's ancestral home and I'm so busy with the renovation so much to do but I'm very excited and enjoying everything. As for your inquiry whether I'm back for good in blogging I can't say right now but I'm visiting my fave blogs once in a while and try to keep in touch however my post will still be sporadic I'm afraid.

Have a wonderful day!

In the kitchen - you know those within reach (of hands and smiles) - I only have wacky tea cups. I like to open the door and smile instantly... sometimes as soon as I reach the cup it's over, sometimes it lasts until the last drop.
That cabinet is so boring - beige plates, normal glasses... the only thing that "doesn't suit" are those mugs. I love it! Like a private joke between me and the mugs... sometimes shared with the person that gave it to me... and now you.
A quote... a quote... oh the pressure ;)... well, because it suits this lovely (and funny) post (and YOU!):

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.

Dr. Seuss

Oh dear, I am still learning about Dr. Seuss. Daughter introduced us to those stories when we first came over but I never could warm up to it. On the other hand, she knows every quote by heart and still finds it one of the best children books ever.
Happy Summer Dear and enjoy a cuppa in your new mug!

We love Dr Seuss in this house too, and often quote some of the lines. After keeping our children's books all these years, we are now reading them to our grandson.
My favourite was the ABC book, with such gems as 'Big Y, little y, A yawning yellow yak. Young Yolanda Yorgenson is yelling on his back!!

Hope you are staying cool and enjoying the summer. It is hot and humid here not good for me but good for my ferns and other plants! LOL

That is a great cup! I can't remember a particular quote that I like, but I remember reading these books to my children. I think I can remember one that went 'A cat is a cat, and that is that.' The chocolates look so yummy. xo Karen
