A Pleasant Day

I just went on a three-day trip to So Cal. for Mother's Day.

We went all over - from Seal Beach to Huntington Beach to Newport Beach.  Nel and Jess prepared a tea party brunch for me with the most delicious appetizers.

We did some shopping and saw the sites around town.  We went into a purple shop, and they even had purple teddy bears!

Nel and Jess found a few goodies for themselves.

I always enjoy myself when I visit So Cal., and it was a pleasant three-day trip.

I'm not a big fan of flying, but I don't mind it cause we get to our destination in half the time that it would take driving.

What about you?
Do you mind flying?

Oh Sherri, how special - your girls are so pretty and they must take after their mom. Looks like you had a wonderful brunch with all that wonderful food - yum yum.
I used to fly alot with my job but since I am retired now I don't because its not fun anymore - they treat you like your on a cattle car.
When I go up to my son's I'd rather drive take about the same amount of time and I'm not squeezed into a seat that I can't move around in. I am planning on a trip to VA but not getting excited about flying.
So glad you had a wonderful mothers day.

THERE YOU ARE! Or rather, there are your gorgeous girls! Sheri, your trip, oh how I wish I could see you! I do not like to fly my friend, but when I do, I can't wait to get off that plane and run to my destination. Sunny Southern Cal....my home. And that BUNNY! Do you know that while growing up there, I never saw a rabbit, EVER. Now they're everywhere! Darling photo, and yummy food fit for a queen. XOXOXO

Hi Sheri, looks like you had a very special Mother's Day. All that food looks so delicious - you must have had quite a party. Your two daughters are very gorgeous - a tribute to their lovely Mum. I wonder how many purple bears they sell in that shop?

There's that. You might not like it (I don't - best sound in the world in when the plane hits the lane; at the arrival) but it takes you there fast so...

What a wonderful time you seem to have had.

Good for you, Girls!

I am surprised that so many don't like flying, but I am right there with you! (I just torture myself in order to get to my destination!) Well said, Teresa: I definitely agree. Thank you all for the sweet compliments. :-)

Looks like you enjoyed a beautiful day with your girls, my friend. So happy for you. Miss A.J. and I treated ourselves to a mother and daughter pedi and mani yesterday and it was heavenly. I love days like these.
As far as flying, if I can avoid it I will, but I've surrendered to it many times. Just seems my fears have increased with time, but I'll take a plane to Italy any day. teehee

Love you.

This looks like a very special birthday treat. I love those pretty teacups and the appetisers look delicious with different flavours and textures which I enjoy. As for flying, I generally enjoy it mainly because I'm looking forward to the destination!
