Weekend Drives

Driving through the
town of Folsom,
I took these pictures
that caught my
eye.

Does anyone else
think that
these are the most
unusual and
remarkable birds?

Have a great week.

Wow Sheri, you certainly captured a beautiful segment of nature. I see that you carry your camera with you, and that is a great idea. The peacock feathers are just stunning. And of course those strawberries made my eyes pop open. Thank you for sharing.

All these little blue birds are so cute!!!
And the peacocks!!! I love them!!!
I see them (and hear them!) every day since one of my neighbours owns some of them!
;-)
Kisses, sweetheart!

Hi Sheri: Both photos are of me. The b&w from a long time ago with a band-aid on my knee from playing a lot of games. The photo at the bottom is a recent one.
Question: is your birthday soon?
Have a happy week!

World is so Alive and you had your camera! Yay for us that end up enjoying so much from your weekend drive.

I love Peacocks and the legends and myths surrounding them, being my favorite:

"The peacock is mentioned in one of Aesop's fables. In the story, the peacock goes to Juno (the Roman name for the goddess Hera) and complains that the nightingale has a sweet song and he does not. Juno replied that he has beauty and size. The peacock then asked what good was his beauty without a great vice. Juno wisely replied that every creature has its gifts and faults, and they should be content with them and who they are."

Your gift is a loving and sharing heart. Thank you and Happy Easter,

Teresa

I love all of your captures here....
Are you familiar with Jeri Lander's blog? She is a writer and illustrator...brilliant artist...and she has peacocks (and many other amazing creatures) on her farm...I think you would enjoy her greatly! If you're interested it's "hopalonghollowgazette.blogspot".

You inspire us to really "see"... :) Thank you!
Blessings,

Well, I must say when something catches your eye you have a VERY GOOD EYE---or two very good eyes! You take great photos.

Growing up in PA our neighbors raised and sold peacocks. I was always a bit afraid of them but they are gorgeous - xo Diana

Hi Sheri,

Your photographs are all so beautiful and loved that you took us along.
Yes, peacocks are gorgeous birds - we used to have a park where I lived growing up, there were a few in a big aviary - often we could pick up the feathers which are pretty.
Happy week
hugs
Carolyn
