Afternoon Tea

I used to have four of the same cups that matched, but lately I have been collecting cups in every shape and color.  I guess you might call it my "eclectic" collection.

Here is my newest tea cup from Anthropologie.  Me and the girls love this shop with all its unique items.

"Under certain circumstances
there are few hours
in life more agreeable
than the hour dedicated
to the ceremony known as
afternoon tea."

~Henry James

Won't you have a
cup of tea with me?

Good Afternoon Sheri, I love eclectic collections of tea cups and plates.... I think they are very interesting and each usually comes with a story to tell.
I am pretty fond of your new Anthropology cup and saucer and I love the dinkie feet that the cup is standing on. Doesn't a nice cup and saucer, make drinking tea or coffee, a much more pleasurable experience.
Best Wishes
Daphne

I really would like to drink a cup of tea with you :). I also collect different cups and although I have already so many, I often look for a special new one! Unfortunately we do not have Anthropology in Germany, but I saw it first time in London - a wonderful shop! and your blue cup is very pretty!
Enjoy your day,

You have a lovely collection of tea cups. I really like the blue polka dot mug with the bird. It would certainly be a cheerful vessel for morning tea.

Best in 2014. ☺

Ahhhh Sheri this is such a delicious post. I love your tea cup collection. It looks so bright and cheery. Tea is a most lovely ritual. I drink a cup of green tea almost every day at my office. It's a comfy little ritual that makes me feel healthy too. So happy to be catching up with my favorite bloggers now that I'm feeling better. Thanks for your kind comments on Stylemindchic and yes would love to meet up sometime in spring or summer.
xx, Heather

Dear Sheri: I would love to enjoy a cup of tea with you. There are several tea houses near where I live. And I thoroughly enjoy my visits there. Great post. I love to see what tea cups other people collect.

Is there still some left in the pot for me dear friend? I find myself again this year not being able to make my blogging rounds when I want...or, some people just simply may be posting way after I've left for work!

Tea time is essential. The ceremony of sitting down long enough to enjoy something so simple, yet so relaxing is necessary to appreciate small things...hot water with flavoring...who would think? But it's more than that, isn't it?

Much love to you, and I'll take mine with cream!

My kitchen Mug Shelf has the most un-cordinated collection of mugs.

Not eclectic at all - yours is! - just a big mess: you know, there's one someone gave to the children, other I saw and couldn't resist buying, then there's "that" Aunt that can't remember what she bought us last Christmas and - you guessed right - she buys another set of two mugs ahahahah.

But I love it. I love to think of the person when I grab one. I love to bring the snowmen and reindeer ones to the front when holidays arrive, put them back when it's over but looking forward to see them again.

Well, I really just passed by to leave a hug but you know me there's always time for small talk ahahaha.

Holding you close,
T
