'Tis the Season to Be Crafty

We were feeling a little creative during the holiday weekend.

We did some shopping at Michael's (arts and crafts store) and loaded up on the supplies we needed to CREATE.

Nel was inspired by Pinterest and made these classy and clever bookmarks for her friends.

Using pieces of ribbon, she hot glued each edge to prevent fraying and attached a unique charm to one end.

Mom painted a wooden box she found in a timeless white to match her current Christmas decor.

She then added a simple yet elegant jewel to top it off.

I made these 'Merry Christmas' tags, which represent different languages. (Let me know if I spelled any wrong! :-)

I can't wait to attach them to my gifts.

We ended the evening by creating these fancy bows made out of ribbon.

If you would like to learn how to make them, follow this link.

I hope you are having a creative Christmas season!

~Jess

I love pretty bookmarks! And I use them constantly. I think this is one craft I might could do. Thank you for the idea! And Sheri's white box is an elegant little thing, I wonder how she'll use it? Homemade gift tags would really be a personal touch, and I'm going to bookmark the bow tutorial. I am terrible at making bows. Do you do all these things together, at least some of the time? That would be so much fun.

Great idea for the book mark. first it could be used as the decorative part of the ribbon fastening on the present then as the book mark. Brilliant idea. I'm sure you're all having great fun doing your Christmas crafting.

I love all your crafts. Some lucky ladies are going to enjoy their bookmarkers. And those bows...wow! My husband makes a pretty bow, so I hand the wrapped presents over to him. You and I share the same taste in wrapping paper. One of my paper is the red with white dots: very cute. Thanks for sharing all your talented goodies.
