A Little Taste Of Italy

Me and my son went to a fabulous Italian Restaurant for lunch this weekend.  The scenery outside was so attractive.

I ordered my favorite, chicken fettucini.  The sauce was buttery and delicious, and the chicken was grilled.

The atmosphere was charming, and songs were being played by the old singers like Frank Sinatra.

Nel wants all her family to take a trip to Rome soon.  I have been pondering over the idea.  I can only imagine the amazing food they have there.

Do you like Italian food as much as I do?

Italy is high on my list. My sister just took a quick trip to Pisa for a wedding and the photos she shared were lovely. She said the wedding food was incredible.

Now that I am retired, we can start planning that vacation.

Hi Sheri, my godmother was married to an Italian from Brooklyn (where else?)and she learned the old school way of cooking Italian. Every Sunday, all the doors in the walkup they lived in would throw open their doors and the wonderful aroma of fresh tomatoes and garlic would just come wafting through the stairway. It was wonderful!

Hi Sheri...

Ohhhhh, that lunch sounded divine. And how nice you got to spend time with your son.

The sculptures are lovely, too.

I do. But the Latin origins are the same so it's understandable. I even have a Pinterest Board named "Italian Love" ahahahah.
I believe it's fattening, most at least, but they give you a happy feeling that pays off. I believe. ahahah

You should travel to Italy!!! Nel is right. It's one of those places you need to take allll the family, be very noisy and be very happy. I think you can go to Paris or New York on your own but Italy demands to laugh and live in a group. Too good to tell, you need to share all of it on site.

Now I'm craving fettucine for lunch and brought a salad ;)... and I know I'll have to have fettucine for Dinner ahahahah

Thank you for sharing... and inspiring.

Teresa

Hi Sheri, how nice to spend time with your son and enjoy an Italian lunch. Yes, I love Italian food and being half Italian I grew up learning to prepare many dishes my family love.
Going to Rome together as a family will be so special and a wonderful memory maker.
Thank you for sharing your lovely pics. Your dinner looked so yummy.

Thank you also for stopping by to say hello. So sweet of you to think of me over the weekend.
I will be participating in WBC on July 12th and then possible back in the fall if all goes well.

Sheri, I love it! And today we're trying an Italian pasta dish that allows you to cook everything together in one pot at the same time! It's supposed to work. I'll let you know what I think about it and if the family likes it!
