Nature Speaks To Me

Me and my husband have been taking long rides in the country lately.  We love the fresh air, the great pine and oak trees, listening to nature's song, and the peace that it brings.

It's usually hard to get a good image of deers as they quickly run away, but this one stopped, stood still, and let me take his picture.

These geese were all gathering at a nearby lake.  Do you know that geese mate for life?

I just wanted to hop on one of these horses and get the ride of my life.

This white pony was precious.  I have a thing for white horses.

Oh,
nature is
calling me,
and it's
telling me
to stay.

Sheri, First, Happy New Year to you--I hope the year brings much joy and many blessings. What wonderful images you captured. It is always exciting to get a good photo of a deer--yours are terrific. Nature does bring peace, doesn't it. A great way to "get away from it all" sometimes. Very nice post. Mickie :)

The photo of the deer is stunning. We live next to a wood and a couple of years ago woke up to find two deer in our garden and they were so still we managed to get photos. They appeared again a few days later but never again since.

"I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.

Nothing beats those moments when one leaves "normal" life duties and pleasures to reach out what is natural, free and so happy. Some of that always rub off towards us when we do. So glad to learn you're enjoying it with hubby. Treasured Moments!

Love,

What fabulous photos.
It's so great to get out in the fresh air and blow the cobwebs away, isn't it? Bit difficult for us right now, with the snow we've had.

I think it calls all of us, Sheri, but the more restless the heart the less it hears. Your pictures are gorgeous. We have a horse ranch around the corner from our new house. We must pass it every single day as it is the only way in and out of our neighborhood. So special...we've even named all the horses. :) They and all the open space here simply brightens our days.
Wishing you a beautiful week, my friend...and I love all the reds in the previous post by Jess.
XOXO's,
Marcia

Oh Sheri, SO LOVELY! We have our minds in the same place lately, don't we? Contemplating nature always gives me a calm that I so need. Enjoy my dear. Oh, I need to find a nearby place where there are horses; I just need to touch one on the nose! teehee

Sheri,

There's so much so see outside of the city. The country provides peace and tranquility. I grew up in the country and there was nothing like the quiet beauty the simple landscape provided as well as the wildlife animals that you could find foraging and scurrying for food. I've never understood how anyone could kill a deer...look at those eyes! :)

Yes Sherri, nature does call us, and such peace we find there.
I love that you had some time to slip away into nature and you saw these gorgeous creatures.
Love this post!
Blessings!
