A Wedding Gift to Treasure

When I was home for Thanksgiving this past weekend, my mom presented me with a very special wedding gift that traveled to us in California all the way from Portugal.

Many thanks to our dear friend Val at Val's Alentejo for these lovely linens.

Don't you just adore the beautiful patterns?

Enclosed in the card was a delightfully scented rose sachet.

It brought me back to my wedding day and the beautiful flowers that colored our celebration.

I'll be thinking of our dear friend from Portugal when I spread out these linens for afternoon tea.

Thank you Val! Your thoughtful gift brightened my day.

What a sweetheart you are. I'm so happy you stopped by and left your kind comment. I have decorated our bedroom with ice blue, silver and vintage white. My winter wedding colors (many many moons ago) were ice blue and silver. I love having these soothing colors in our bedroom. They are so restful and romantic.

The rest of my home is popping with my favorite color...RED. I love the red tea pot you have featured. It's so cheery and bright.
What lovely linens you have received...such treasures!

Have a wonderful weekend, my sweet friend,
Blessings,
Carolynn

Generous hearts understand the likes of each other.

So glad you loved it. I'm here smilling with Val's postcard. Been awhile since I saw one of those... all seems to have been turned to cartoons lately.
Enjoy! And Be Merry! Best Thanks, I'm sure, you could give Val.
Be Blessed, Pretty Girl!

What a beautiful gift! Thanks for stopping by, yes my daughter played Soccer growing up, took up Volleyball in high school , played both sports( outside hitter in volleyball, goalkeeper in soccer) then went to college on a Volleyball scholarship , played for 4 years, had one more year of eligibility , and the soccer coach asked her to play. It's been fantastic, but, that's over and it will be strange not having that in our lives. Is your daughter still playing?
Ciao for now...

Wonderful blog you have here - beautiful photos and inspirational posts.
