Thank You For My Coffee

I was in the drive-through line at Starbucks getting my usual cup of coffee, and it was my turn to pay.  I'm at the window and the guy says to me, "the lady in front of you bought your coffee today."  I said, "does she know me?" and he said, "I don't know, she just told me she'd pay for your coffee too."  I thought it was the nicest thing, and it made my day special.  Has that ever happened to you?

That was a wonderful moment to hear that the person ahead of you treated you. Your yellow roses are spectacular.

Yes- It is kind of a Starbucks thing here. I do it quite often and I know other people do, too. Sometimes when someone starts it 5 or 6 people in a row will pay for the person behind them. Isn't that just a great day maker? xo Diana

How nice of her!!! When I was pregnant with my second child (very pregnant) this man came into my job with a Baskin Robbin's Sundae and all I could talk about was how good it looked, he went and bought me one, I will always remember that! Wishing you a lovely weekend, Xo, Ashely

I don't recall that ever happening to me and I don't think it could have happened to a nicer person. It makes my heart happy to hear that people still do nice things for others. I love doing little things for others. Even something so small as letting a person go ahead of me in a grocery store line makes me feel good. ;)

My dear Ria,
I didn't get this picture from Pinterest. I took it myself while I was visiting a small town. Thank you for your lovely comment. I always smile when I see "It's Me."

Hi,

What a lovely post. Yes - the same thing happened to me at a drive through - when I went to pay the clerk said the man in front of you paid - he said seeing you smiling and laughing in your car made his day.
Have a lovely day.
Blessings,
Erin

It is so nice to hear about the good things that happen in life. I always try to say nice things to folks who don't expect it! I might have to try this the next time I'm in a coffee line..

How nice to receive that blessing. When things like that happen, doesn't it make us want to pay it forward?

Good morning sweet friend!

How nice to see your comment this morning as I open up my computer. My dear, I so hope that your cold GOES AWAY SOON in time for Nel's BIG DAY! This summer colds are such a shock to our systems, after having basked in summer warmth!

Your kind friendship and words really are a soothing balm to my heart. Many uncertainties in my career move are leaving me a bit on the blue side BUT the love of friends is so valuable. THANK YOU for making me feel special and validating my efforts to write and reach others.

Cozy up today and get well my dear. Anita

I AM SO TOUCHED....I AM SO AMAZED that my post had this effect on you dearest heart!

Just the other night, I cried UNCONTROLLABY when I read a post by a dear friend. Her music, her ART and her words hit my heart so gently that I cried to the point of a headache for TWO DAYS. ONE NEVER KNOWS what our words will do for someone else...and here I thought this post was surely a DUD, not conveying what I really wanted to say. But POETRY cannot TELL, it has to show...and I am learning how to do that. I am learning that if it MOVES the reader, it is poetry.

You can do what is asked of you. YOU CAN.

LOVE TO YOU MOST PRECIOUS FRIEND! Anita

That was a nice experience Sheri. I guess, that is God's work, most of the time he will use others to put a smile on your face to remind you that He loves you :)
