Sister Sister

I loved this picture when I saw it because it reminded me of Nel and Jess.  They are always having fun together and acting silly.  They are alike in many ways, but they are also very different.  Nel has brown hair, Jess has blonde.  Nel is a bit more outgoing, and Jess is more reserved.  Both are creative...and the loves of my life.

Sisters are different
flowers from the
same garden.

one the dancer.

It makes me happy that they are close, and all the little ways in which they're different don't seem to be as important as the big way that they are the same - they are family.

As an only child, I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to have a sister. Growing up I never really needed one, but now that I am older, I sure would have loved to have one.
It's wonderful that Nel and Jess are close too.
Love that last pic. ;)

Your Playback music player is no longer working? :( If the girls know how to set such things up, tell them to visit www.mixpod.com. It's similar and it does work on blog pages.

Anywho, back to finish my three posts and giveaways. Whew. I'm leaving them up all of next week to take a much needed break.
Hugs!

Sheri,

This is such a poignant post. Your daughters almost sound like they could have been twins. My mother-in-law was a twin and she and her twin were so different. Her twin the more outgoing one and my mother-in-law the shy one. She always let her twin make all of her decision...picking out their clothes, and deciding what they were going to do. They seemed to be in tune with each other and because they lived 2 hours apart they shared a lot of letters. She would be mailing one and her twin would be sending one nearly on the same day.

Have a wonderful evening!

so beautiful. I have two daughters so I appreciated the sentiments. They are as different as day and night too. Your daughters are so lucky to have each other. Mine do not get along. Such a shame. Take care. PS. Thank you for your concern about my oldest girl. The mass on her liver is inoperable. It is a bunch of blood vessels to vital organs entwined. If one should get nicked or rupture, it is Instant Death. Nothing we can do but pray.

Yes, sisters make the best friends. I miss mine, she's in another state but we do talk on the phone a couple time a week.
P.S. I love your new blog photo.

Hi ~~ Thanks for visiting my blog today ~ You made my day ~ Also, I enjoyed your post on sisters. I have only one sister and we are very close however, we hardly see each other. My oldest daughter is graduating this next Friday from high school and my sister is coming to visit. I have not seen her in 7 years ~ Your post made me smile because it is so true ` we are different flowers from the same garden. I am so excited to see her and your post made me think of her even more and appreciate her even more.

God Bless You~

Hi Sheri,
Paris is the most romantic city I know so I'll be thinking of you both; another couple in that rich tapestry of 'AMOUR'.
Don't forget to punctuate your sightseeing days with a coffee break in quaint cafes or a bite to eat and a glass of wine in charming side street restaurants.
Looking forward to your post on your return.

Sheri, you always have the most beautiful thoughtful posts. I love the images. It must warm your heat to see the close relationship between Jess and Nel. I was blessed wth 3 sisters but only one of us is really, really close. We're close because we both live in the same state and we do things together. It's a blessing to have siblings.
