A Peaceful Place To Go

Me and my husband went to the park the other day.  I have special memories of the park because I used to take my kids there all the time when they were little.  Now for me, it is a place to think, pray, and slow down.

While my husband took a walk along the nicely groomed trails,

I thought I'd take some pictures of flowers.

One of my kid's favorite things to do was go on the swings.  With their feet up in the air and their hair flying in the wind, they couldn't get enough of this.  I would often join them in their play.

We're never too old to swing.

Hi Sheri,

Beautiful post and one I can relate to also. We lived across the road from a park when I was growing up so most days you could find me on the swings. Then my children enjoyed going to the park. Looks like you had a lovely visit, love the flowers.

Hi Sheri, Whenever I visit any park with swings I can't control myself. I just have to take a swing. I grew up in our neighborhood park and it was there I spent most of my childhood. I still visit the park, but the swings are gone, but they will always remain in my heart and I hope in my memory! Great post. Thanks for the memory recall.

Thanks for sharing such a beautiful post, Sheri!
We're blessed with lots of great parks here in Melbourne. I always think I should use them more.
And the last picture really took me places :)
Thanks again for the post and for stopping by at 'my place'.
Cheers!

Beautiful flowers! And I hope they put in a walking trail here. Our park just has one little play set, but more is supposed to be coming, soon.

Hi Sherri, tried to leave a comment last night but blogger would not let me, so came back this morning. I too love parks and have many memories of taking our children to parks. Have you ever been to Ferndell? It used to be a beautiful place, do not know how it is now, had many lovely trails, near Griffith Park. Hugs...Lu

You take such good pictures! I love those flowers! I can't imagine seeing that at a local park. In West Texas, we don't have that at all!
