The Merriest Place on Earth

It's Christmas time at the happiest place on earth!

So of course Jess and I had to pay a visit to our favorite magical kingdom. ( ;

Main Street is all decked out in holiday trimmings.

A giant Christmas tree adorns the town square.

Fantasy Land is always a favorite. And the snow-capped towers were a real treat!

We love Snow White's Adventure, the King Arthur Carousel, and Pinocchio's Daring Journey.

"I've got no strings
To hold me down
To make me fret, or make me frown
I had strings
But now I'm free
There are no strings on me!"

And of course the Matterhorn is a winter time favorite.

The holidays on the Frontier are especially merry.

Santa's reindeer welcome all the good boys and girls.

The day started out a bit cloudy, but after a warm cup of hot cocoa in the morning the skies started to clear.

"Zippity doo dah, Zippity aye,
My oh my what a wonderful day
Plenty of sunshine coming my way,
Zippity doo dah, Zippity aye."

And just in time for the Christmas parade!

Mickey waves a big holiday hello to everyone!

As the sun goes down, and the moon comes out, the holiday light shows begin!

It's a Small World is illuminated by thousands of bright colored bulbs.

"There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all."

And most spectacular of all, the lights on Main Street are dimmed...The countdown begins...And the enchanted Sleeping Beauty Castle comes to life!

The best part is the gingerbread-scented snow that falls on merry guests strolling through Main Street.

We just love the holidays at Disneyland.

A very magical Christmas to you!

I thought for a minute it was Disneyworld... but it's Disneyland. So CA is where you guys live. i know I should have known that. I've been in a fog lately, sorry Nel.
We used to go to FLA. at least once every 2 or 3 years with the kids. It truly is a magical place. LOVE the castle all adorned with that magic.
Glad you sisters enjoy all of this beauty together.
Merry Xmas girls.

Hi gals,
I just LOVE all the holiday photos at the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. I grew up in Florida and our class was one of the first to go to the grad nite at Disney World which had not been built very long. We rode school buses in those days....today, the kids ride chartered busses. ha They closed the theme park down to just the grads for the night. My son, Brandon, did the same thing for grad nite when he graduated from high school about 10 years or so ago. Life repeats itself! :) It has been a few years since I have been to Disney World in Florida. I will have to go sometime I am there again. It is, indeed, a happy place! Thank you so much for your blog visits and friendship over the past few months that you have been blogging. I am glad you enjoyed the rehearsal video for Amy and Brandon's wedding that I posted a couple of days ago or so. I am sure your daughter will have a wonderful one, too, when she gets married. Our actual wedding photos will be coming... Hope you have a blessed Christmas and very, very happy new year! Love to you all! xoxo Kim

Sorry, I thought the first part was Disney World...and the second part was Disneyland. I see from a comment that it is all Disneyland in the photos. I have been to Disneyland, too. Both are lots of fun! Happy Holidays! xoxo Kim

The gingerbread-scented snow sounds enchanting: so much more welcome than the real thing.

I have tried, once more, to sign-up as a follower. I hope it has worked this time.

Happy Holidays

I'm very familiar with those decorations, Nel, except ours are from the Magic Kingdom in Florida. Nothing like Disney's Christmas. I couldn't resist clicking on that title, I mean, what's not to love about The Merriest Place on Earth? :) Love all the pics.

Dearest Nel,

I grew up in L.A. so I remember Disneyland from WAAAAAAAY back in the early 60s! It is good to see the Matterhorn again!

SHERI DEAREST, what a lovely and sweet comment you left me today dearest; I had no idea people would still be visiting with the holidays upon us! Ruben and I are alone out here in the Midwest and so I just carry on as usual, but everyone else has children and extended family near by. I just thought I would take a stab at posting, but I was so happy to see that people have come...thank you for a lovely year of KINDNESS and creativity. You are just so special. MANY HAPPY BLESSINGS TO YOU and may love constantly fill your heart. Anita

This is one place I've never visited but I've been to Disneyland in California (no comparison). The Magic Kingdom looks gorgeous all decked out for the Christmas season!
