It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

The Christmas season is finally here! We have so many fun holiday traditions.

Going to The Nutcracker is one of them.

We love the Electric Light Parade that passes through Old Town.

There's so many holiday goodies to choose from!

It doesn't get much better than listening to Burl Ives with a hot mug of eggnog while decorating the Christmas tree

The sweet smell of gingerbread cookies baking in the oven always puts us in the holiday spirit.

Even in sunny Southern California, the snow-capped mountains are just a short drive away.

In all of the merry holiday cheer, we feel it's important to take time out and think...

...about the real reason we celebrate this beautiful time of year.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays to you gals, too! Love those holly cupcakes-what fun! Our kids are always on the Holiday parade because Mom & Dad do the big school float. They have taken the grand prize the past 2 years! xo Diana

It is the most wonderful time of the year! I love everything about the Christmas season. However, I'm not out Black Friday Shopping. I may pay a little more, but I'll shop in the peaceful midweek mornings when I can enjoy it!

We only have 30 more days before Christmas! How time flies, doesn't it? Hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! :-)

Indeed.

And from Celebration to Celebration in the end all resumes to Giving Thanks.

For the Past, the Present with eyes - happy and blessed eyes - and emotions focused in the Future.

Happy and Holly Hollidays Sweet Family.

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year. It has always been my favourite. The electric light display sounds like a lot of fun to watch. You are so right, nothing beats listening to Christmas songs (the old classics are the best I think), with a cup of egg nog and decorating (and a gingerbread man or two :P).
Have a great holiday season :)

Oh, girls, I can absolutely relate to all of your Christmas Joys!!! I have had the Christmas music station on ever since we got back from France, and never seem to grow tire of those songs.[Yes, even "Holly Jolly Christmas"!!!] One of our traditions is to go down to see the Rockettes in the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City. This year we went on the bus and took my 94 year old mother [ in a wheelchair], and my 6 year old grandson. The tree wasn't decorated yet in Rockefeller Center, but it still got us in the Christmas Spirit. And I spent my high school days in Southern California, and still remember the holiday excitement of Bullock's and Buffum's and the boats decorated in Naples bay, and Sunday School trips up to Big Bear to see the snow...oh, all such good memories! Thanks for reminding me!
Pumpkins and all things orange went away today. Tomorrow out comes the white, green and silver!!!
XOXO

Precious Sheri,

Ohhhhhhh...do I remember that drive to the snow capped mountains. It was magical for me, having lived in the middle of South Central L.A. to get out of the city and go far away to listen to the silence. It is that time when gathering together does bring the real meaning of HIS birth and the joy of BEING ALIVE. THANK YOU PRECIOUS ONE for visiting and yes, isn't that QUEEN OF THE BEACH piece just lovely? That is my dear and most wonderful friend, Violet. She is so talented, WITTY and FUNNY as all get out, and such a wiz with the glitter! Thank you for shopping with us! I added more goodies this morning. HAPPY HUNTING!!!!! Anita

What a wonderful post--all the "fun" things of Christmas leading to the true meaning. That gingerbreadman is so cute! And what a great collection of Nutcrackers. Looks like you and your family truly enjoy the Holidays in many ways. Mickie :)
